I've been surprised many times when I've heard a Christian quote Paul with the preface, "Jesus said..." And quite a few didn't know that Paul wasn't even around when Jesus was, that he came along and took over Christianity from Jesus's disciples years later.
The bible is almost impossible to comprehend outright, because there are so many translations and additions, and so many archaic ideas... To understand it, you have to understand its history and its evolution, you have to discern between corrupted interpretations and authentic ancient texts. You should also examine the rejected books, and look at the many centuries of the Christian church from a historical perspective, what it taught, what it changed. That's IF you want to really know the bible. Considering most Christians believe it's *the* holy book, you'd think they would want to make absolutely certain in their own minds - as intelligent individuals - that they are understanding it as it was really meant to be understood (from their point of view).
On the other hand, Christians don't understand "Satan" either, who is seen in an altogether different light in Judaism (the faith of Jesus, if anyone remembers).
By the way, have you seen this site?

Do you honestly think that everyone who comes to Christ must be an idiot? Christianity is an informed faith. It is not blind. There is so much tangible, and legally sufficient evidence to prove its merits, that it has survived court challenges.
My question to you would be, "Have you actually read the Bible? Or are you just parroting back what someone or some website told you?"
Myself, I have read the whole Bible, cover to cover 18 times. The New Testament alone, many times over that. It remains as alive and fresh as it was the day I first opened it. As the writer to the Hebrews says, "For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing until it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow, as it judges the thoughts and purposes of the heart." (Hebrews 4:12)

Yes. I've also read the Koran, the Hadith, the Bavaghad Gita, the Upanishads and many others. I am not impressed with any of them. All are mindlessly unverified claims to superiority.
It is time to move out of unverifiable beliefs that serve as little more than endless circles of mindlessness, mantras, or memberships in closed adversarial armies into open democratic societies based on reason and thought.
Belief is the absence critical thought and the hallmark of a shallow or unworthy person.

I have read the Bible through several times and continue to read and study. Cross referencing back and forth for better understanding, many people read the Bible but don't show it by the way they live and the things they do. This is why Christianity is so looked down upon. True Christians follow Jesus as an example, they make themselves no part of the world, they do not follow the latest fads but dress modestly, do not talk like the world, do not take sides, politically or nationally, in the world but put faith in God's kingdom as the only solution to all mankinds problems, they do not hate but love everyone and this is why they spread the good news of God's kingdom, they uphold God's standards and and do not allow the world which is under Satan's control to influence them. The world hates what is not it's own. You can tell who true Christians are by their behavior, they do not take sides in wars, homosexuality is unacceptable, as well as fornication and loose conduct along with revelries. They obey the laws of the lands as long as they don't conflict with God's standards, pay their taxes and walk modestly with their God. They understand people have the right to choose what they believe but pray that people will come to an accurate understanding of the truth and serve the true God. They know the true identity of Jesus and do not believe in eternal torment in hell. A loving God does not torment people for all eternity, belief in firey tormenting hell has actually turned people away from God. Make a careful examination of the different religions, what are they doing?, would God approve? How are behaving?, Are they doing God's will? Careful examination along with prayer and earnestly seeking God along with a sincere heart should reveal the truth to you.

I have read the Bible completely through on 5 organized occasions and am certain that I've read it in its entirety on many more than that, as I began to gain more from it as I allowed the Holy Spirit to lead me to the readings of God's Word and may read the whole New Testament in a two or three day setting. I may read all the minor prophets in a single setting or the Books of Moses in a two or three day setting and then the Kings and Judges over a week or two. I've learned when the Holy Spirit directs the reading, he also directs the understanding.

Why the bible SUPPORTS women.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
it says SUBMIT to each other
Eph 5:21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
A christian husband WILL have no problems submitting to his wife.
Read the gospel of Luke where Women were prominent in Luke's portrayal of Jesus' life.
Anna, a prophetess, blessed the child Jesus (2:36-38).
Women, part of Jesus' traveling party, helped pay his way (8:1-3).
Women were among those who observed the crucifixion (23:27, 49).
Women were the first to find Jesus' tomb empty (24:1-3).
Angels told the women that Jesus had risen (verses 4-8).
Women were the first to tell the other disciples (verses 9-11).
Although first-century culture usually minimized the importance of women, Luke portrayed women as good examples in the early church.
"Luke's intention is once again to convey a certain male-female parallelism in order to stress the equality of man and woman in God's plan of salvation, and their equal importance to the new community" (Witherington, Women and the Genesis of Christianity, page 215).
Another fascinating account is Luke’s story of the healing of a disabled woman—on the Sabbath day, in the synagogue, right in front of the synagogue ruler. The healing not only shows Christ personally contrasting his new way of life with the old legalistic, pharisaical restrictions, but it also shows his deep regard for women.
On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues, and a woman was there who had been crippled by a spirit for eighteen years. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called her forward and said to her, “Woman, you are set free from your infirmity.” Then he put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. (Luke 13:10-13)

Not sure what your question is. Yes, I've read the Bible from beginning to end. I've studied is for many years and will spend the rest of my life continuing to study it. It is a complicated, intricate, amazing book. Do you know the Bible written in parts for more than 2000 years, references that the earth was round before science knew it, that the earth revolves around the sun before science knew it, that man's life is in the blood before science knew it......... It also predicts the fall of dozens of cities by name hundreds of years before they fell and also predicted the way in which they would fall with 100% accuracy.
If the Bible is read in it's entirety and studied thoroughly, it has no mistakes. Many don't believe that because they haven't studied it and they often take things out of context.
It's not freeing your mind to the shakles of dogma to dismiss the Bible. It is to try and educate your way into ignorance. Dismissing the Bible is purely an act of rebellion of man, to refuse to believe that anyone or anything is bigger or in more control than himself. To dismiss God's word is to dismiss God. Would an all powerful being create a world and person's in it to live and die without direction or guidance???? That is ludicrous. Anyone that believes in God and not the Bible is trying to bring God down to their level instead of rising to his.
I would suggest that anyone that goes to that website thoroughly research it for the biases it presents with a clear head and a pure heart to seek the truth. The truth will set you free.

I have read and re-read the Holy Bible and this is a really interesting book as well as the best selling book in the world and every time you read it, there seems to be things that you have missed. Every one should read and understand the Bible and do not put things in your mind that is not in the Book.

Yes, I've read the entire Bible several times, and I try to read parts of the New Testament every day. Why? Because if teaches me about Jesus and the Kingdom of God, and inspires me to give my life in service.

By my 18th birthday I had read the entire Bible from cover to cover 28 times. After that, I began to study it topically.
The more I read it, the less I believe.
I was much happier and more able to believe when i knew almost nothing about it. Probably why so few ministers really want their parishioners to actually read it for themselves.
"Just come here a few times a week, and I'll tell you all you need to know about it... and don't forget to pay your tithes... and please drop a few extra dollars in the plate to support our "fill in the blank" special ministry."
