They say(an old fashioned trick) is to burn a match over the spot and blow it out,the sulfur in the match helps pull up the ammonia smell.Whatever you do,don't use any bleach to clean it with, mixing bleach with ammonia together can cause a deadly invisible gas, when breathed can kill you and everyone in the house. If you have ever seen those" seen on TV ads",alot of the Urine gone they have has worked for me. You even get a black light to see other spots too.Considering it is a male cat,you will have to go over the spots a couple times,a male cat's spray is very concentrated and strong, unlike a female spray ,a male cat's urine is territorial as well.as soon as they start to spray, they will not stop, get them clipped asap! If you don't have the money ,look in your phone book, there are organizations that do it either really cheap or if you tell them he was a stray, they will do it for free! Good luck!

You can buy online 0(zero) odor which you can spray on then wash as usual. Also at Target they sell Urine Gone which comes with a black light so you can see everywhere that he might have gone even if you can't see it. You spray this on let dry overnight, for sheets and clothes, spray let dry and then wash as normal. Tide has a new laundry soap with fabreze and so does Downey. After following one of the sprays to get out urine than washing with this tide and downey fabric softner, all smell will be gone. Now for long term, you need to get your cat fixed, unless you plan to use him as a stud? If not after fixing him the spraying will stop hopefully!

Zero Odor (zerodorpets.com) works well, as does Nature's Miracle Laundry Detergent. I don't remember where I got the latter, but I think you can Google it and buy it direct from Nature's Miracle or one of their distributors. Use a black light to locate the areas he's sprayed and use Zero Odor on the offending area, which will look white under the black light. It can be used on your sheets and clothes, too.

You don't want to get regular household cleaners as they won't do the trick. Something that advertises having enzymes in it is a huge step better. Zero Odor and Nature's Miracle have been found to work very well. You can buy Zero Odor at www.zeroodor.com, it's worth a look. Good luck!

Nature's Miracle is a popular odor-buster. If you can find it, a product called Odoban works extremely well. It cleans *and* sanatizes. Try getting some toys for the kitty and play with him, so maybe he'll "grow out" of hiding your things. It sounds like he's bored and needs some interaction.

First, get the cat neutered. Then get Natures Miracle from a pet food store. Follow the directions. This stuff is great, it removes the urine, not cover it up.

no, get rid of the items and work on training the cat, or get rid of the cat, or don't get too attached to your items

there is a cat-repellant that you can buy from pet stores to make furniture etc less attractive to cats

vinegar and baking soda, and sometimes bleach will get rid of a lot of smells but cat spray never goes away

Febreeze for the laundry is AWESOME. I also keep some of the spray for fabrics around in case the spray ends up on other things.
