A teaspoon of syrup, it coats the little thng that makes you hic and problem solved and it tastes good too, not to mention you don't have to stand on your head.

This is what works for me:

take a deep breath...hold it while counting slowly to ten
then before you let it out, 'swallow' it kind of feels like you are swallowing the breath you were holding. count to 10 again and slowly release the breath. if you cant make it to 10 again just start to slowly breathe out when you cant hold it any longer.

the key is the swallowing, it really seems to help 9/10 times. good luck

Hold your breath and swallow three times. It causes a Vaso-Vagal response and causes the hiccups to stop.

Hold your breath, drink lots of water, I even heard of rubbing your ear lobs... They usaualy dont last longer than an hour.
