I would be alarmed until i found out what it was. My pit bull had a lump on his neck that would disappear. Once I was able to move his head to show the lump I took him to the vet (it took several weeks until I was able to get it so she could see it). My vet did a lot of tests then ended up doing an exploratory surgery. It turned out to be an aneurysm on the left jugular. He had to go to a specialist to have it removed and the jugular blocked to ensure it doesn't re-occur. now $2000 later, he's doing just fine. This is an extremely rare case. The surgeons have never seen this so I do expect that will be the issue but it's the piece of mind that you need to find out what it is. Good luck and I'm sure it's nothing major like what i went through.

If the lump is by her jaw or on the lower part of her chest run to the vet right away!!! Because those are limph nods (my spelling has aways been bad) and can mean cancer. But it could just be a fatty tumer kinda depends on where it is at.

Also I have never seen flea meds do that to a dog. Mostly can give skin problems.

Take your Yorkie to your vet! Just because it doesn't seem to bother her doesn't mean it's not worth checking out. Even if it is nothing at least you'll know and feel better! Think of it this way, if that lump were under the skin on YOUR neck, wouldn't you want to get it checked out? Best wishes for your doggie!

Hi, I have a lump on the back of my neck just to my right of the vertebrae. I have had it for years with no problem, it does not protrude much but is about 2" long and 1" wide. According to my Doctor it is just a 'fatty lump' . I also have one by my breast bone and I know my Mother has a couple. A friend of mine had 22 removed from his arms, they were barely visible and about as big as a pea. I think it is a common occurrence and your sons now appears to be growing because you are fascinated with it. Mark round it with a Biro and then you will see for sure if it grows. If it does, off to the docs again this time with the Biro mark as evidence.

This time of the year it could be a tick.Carefully check it out,or maybe some scar tissue from an injury,an abcess?.Do you have a cat??Probably not from meds,.Doesn't sound like any emergency but keep an eye on it because if it grows she needs to see the Vet.Good Luck to you.

If it's in the same spot you put her flea meds, it could be. It could be a fatty pocket, or a tumor. If you're worried about it take her to the vet.

Please take your dog to the vet. My previous dog had a lump - if it's right under the jawline, it could be a tumour- it turned out he had lymphoma. I don't want to scare you - but the faster you find out, the faster you can rule it out - and with any dog cancer, you need to get on it ASAP.

I hope it's a flea bite though....

Get it checked by the vet. You never know what it is until you get it checked. That way you can make sure what is causing it or what exactly it is. yours is mostly something being caused by the flea medicine. but get it checked ot make sure

You shold definitely take her to the vet. It might be a tumor, could be fiborous and nothing to be alarmed about,it could be minor or serious but you should take her in to be sure.
