An insurgent blows himself up at a checkpoint in Afghanistan, the next morning his comrades are caught due to information obtained via torturing the associates of the former dead bomber. In New York city, a terrorist attack is prevented after police arrest one of the bombers. Paramilitary agents beat the man within an inch of his life to get the location of the bomb out of him. His friends are tied up and dropped 5000 feet out of the air, the bodies are found in the streets of Saudi Arabia with the word 'terrorist' burned onto every inch of their body in Arabic. Terrorists murder an innocent foreign aid worker, the next day 50 Al-qaeda prisoners are found decapitated and burning on crucifixes outside the facility.
One day the news comes in: OBL has been found, dead with 911 bullet shots through the body and 3 daggers through his heart. A video is released days later, showing him being burned alive and screaming. 9 was burned on the chest, 11 on his back.

I agree with the answer saying that terrorists are apathetic about their lives being taken, that is why action such as torture and slow, painful deaths that are shown in their media will take away this culture of glory that they surround death with. When they see their leader burning and screaming and begging for his life, things will start to change.

If you are a Christian, then you win eventually by killing them with kindness.
I am not a Christian, I believe in just killing them.
No rehabilitation, no torture, just overwhelming and inevitable death. They will get the message and evolve, or they will die.

What is the difference between words like "police, paramilitary agents and innocent foreign aid worker" and "terrorist and insurgent"? Just what side you happen to be on. The British called the American's terrorists back during the revolutionary war. If the US had lost they would still be know as such instead of the heroes they are known as now.
Perhaps you should join the military. They need more sadists, rapists and murderers to keep up the image.

I have no problem with it. The rules of modern warfare can not apply to barbarians and still be effective.
I'm an American of arabic descent and I think the middle east should be nuked to oblivion - so that nothing is left alive. I dont care if they are jews or arabs or muslims or christians .... the culture there is so morally bankrupt and the people so tolerant of crime that it can not be allowed to incinerate the rest of the world which is mostly good.

We have a limited amount of things we can do when it comes to dealing with people that care as much to blow themselves up for their cause! Many of the people who we are fighting have no remorse and pretty apathetic about being killed. It's pretty difficult to deal with those types of people without force. Trying to have a heart to heart with them will probably get you killed. At any rate, its a difficult situation and there probably really isn't an answer.

That represent EVERYTHING we are supposed to be against. I understand your frustration but if we behaved in such a manor we might as well join them instead of fighting them.

I think you have to fight fire with fire when dealing with these ISLAMO FASCISTS!! They only understand one thing and that is POWER! They look at negotiating as being weak! We have to make our retaliation so horrific that people will think twice about committing acts of terrorism towards the United States!!

well i think a bunch of bull ****....... personally i don't think they should be able to show any tapes on what happened to a past soldier or prisoner...... that's the last thing they would want there family to see if were killed or even if they were just an inch away from death....

We should pull all of our troops out of the middle east by the end of the week and then just bomb the hell out of it with airplanes. If that doesn't work, there are always nukes.

to tell you the truth i think we should start fighting fire with fire... but everytime we do the press says something and then half the world hates us even more then they already kinda do... but im tired of terrorists thinking they can get away with this ****... sure we invaded their land but they are not thinking and are acting like we will just leave if they act violently...
