Jesus' example: Luk 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

Joh 16:22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
Joh 16:23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
Joh 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
Joh 16:25 These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.
Joh 16:26 At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

Again, you ask the FATHER through CHRIST. The Father and Christ are not the same, yet they have the same will.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works.

The Bible also tells that one of the apostles asked Jesus, "show us the Father." And Jesus said, "have I not been with you all this time an you still don't know who I am. If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father. He and I are one."

Therefore indicating that Jesus was not speaking to men according to his own emotions and feelings, but was speaking the true Word of God, hence why Jesus is referred to as "The Word in the flesh."

Jesus never said to pray to him; however if we pray to God and ask for assistance in Jesus name, we may be rewarded. We are all sinners...well lets do the sinners prayer..nothing wrong!
