Because everyone is assumed innocent until proven guilty, even the guy burgling your house.

The laws on shooting intruders vary considerably by state.
At issue is whether or not you have to prove your are in fear for your life.

In almost any state you will be arrested if you shoot an intruder while he is leaving, for example, since he presents no further threat to you.

Why in some cases the guilty go free and the innocent are guilty?

This is because its "better to let 100 guilty go free than 1 innocent go to jail." Which sadly happens all the time with the imperfect Judicial system we have.

So put up No Tresspassing signs and he'll have "no rights" to be on your property, protecting you.

Make sure no one finds the corpse. Worked for me. Also, it depends on what actions he was doing while intruding. Just say he was swing a crowbar at your head (or your wifes and it was shoot him or lose her). There are many ways to beat that rap. Just be sure to have the correct alibi and make it stick. Practice makes perfect in this way.

It all has to do with money. If you have money, you can buy your way out of almost anything (remember OJ?) and be above the law, which is why the system is corrupt.

The poor usually get a court-appointed public defender, which makes it more likely that they'll be found guilty.

Simplistic question... take a class in criminal justice... preferably criminal law... then you can understand that its not "I shot an intruder and get charged with murder..."... you've been listening to people without getting facts way too long...
