The bible didn't actually come from Jesus. Some parts of the New Testament were written two hundred years after the crucifction. And the Old Testament was before his time. The Bible has been translated many times, so if you wanted to get a trustworthy version, you should go as near as you can to the original. I'm not sure, I think it might have been written in arabic. No doubt someone on here will know.

So what you are saying is that the Quran was not translated to english from its original Arabic language? How therefore is it taught to english speaking nations if they do not speak any Arabic languages. It has been translated just as the bible. Things get lost in translation.
The bible also speaks about people who will change things in the bible and it says they will be punished.
Rev 22:18-19 NIV) I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. {19} And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

We konw that there are lots of diffrent revissions of the Holy Bible. But All of them are the same it has only been simplified so that all of us can understand it! It has also been translated to diffrent languages so that other people can also understand it! So it really doesnt matter wich one you take! I would say the best bet is get yourself " The Amplified Bible" It is very good in explaining the scripture as you read it! So go ahead get one!
May God Bless you!

Isn't there a place in the Quran were it states the Hebrew scripture are also from God. The old testament is widely available. You could learn Hebrew. Or you could just get a modern translation.

You say you know the Koran as one book but you are mistaken.
The Koran is constantly added to daily by spiritualists of a name that escapes me at the moment. There are several different sects as well just like there are many christian ones. But belief in One God is not universal. We do seem to have a similar history but that is because Mohammad took alot of the Jewish teachings in the Torah and changed them to match his own needs. Even his family condemned him for the lies he was espousing. His wife even accused him of pedophilia. As a christian I seek peace with all people but some people do not want peace. Christians normally do not believe in being hostile toward others. But being human, we are not above doing wrong and making mistakes. We just believe that if we strive to know God and His Son Jesus Christ, we will be enlightened to wisdom and understanding of what it means to be in His hands and to know His blessings. Someone once gave this example of God. God stands above us trying to pour out a blessing on us, but we keep moving out of range.

You must have contempt for Jesus and not respect. He called himself by the name of God.. I AM.. The Jews knew what he was saying and wanted to stone him. If Mohammad didn't know that then he is a false prophet..

who cares if you believe the qur'an hasn't changed over the centuries. At least we admit there are flaws in our holy book but the basic principle is still the same.

You are free to believe any theology or belief system you want, but do know that with every choice comes a consequence...
