Who can answer this question better than a person who grew up in a culture that indulges in hot peppers! Let's make this simple. Tomatoes, milk, bread. However, the most accessible is hot water. Seriously. Gargle your mouth with warm to hot water. It works!

I love Mexican food.
One little mobile wagon in Bakersfield served the Best Mexican ever.
One day, being brave I tried the HOT variety.
WOW! I thought in would never have taste buds again.
They gave us radishes to eat and I tossed them. He told me in broken English to try it.
I did, and to my surprise, after a few, it took away the heat.
After that, I would buy my own radishes from the store, clean them and take them with me.
I liked the flavor, just could not handle the heat.
Works on those hot Chinese dishes if you accidentally eat a hot pepper.

Anything sweet will nutralize the pepper acid. - That's why mexican food restaurants serve pralines after your meal. In case your mouth is still burning from the hot peppers.

Stuffed peppers are great! If your peppers are big enough, cut them open, scrape out all the seeds.(those are the hottest part) Then stuff them with sour cream and chives, or your favorite type of cheese. If they are not big enough to stuff just cut them open, scrape out the seeds, and dip them in sour cream, or ranch dip, or bleu cheese, or something of the like. You could also eat crackers with them.

That's why sour cream was invented. Seriously, sour cream will 'damp down' a super hot pepper.

Drink lots of rum. After a few double noggans you'll forget the hotness.

Just cut out the seeds, that way they aren't so hot. If needed, drink milk after.
