Cd's £15 even itunes is more expensive but why.

Because the cost of living is expensive in the UK.
Therefore companies must pay reasonably high wages to attract a competant work force.
These high wages plus government taxes etc. are passed on to us the public.
Not to mention the record companies greed!
You could try looking for internet sites selling cheaper CD's etc.
