i dont think it really matter it was a garage sale if she wanted to sale them as a set then she should have said so but since it was a garage sale i dont think it matter anyways its not like you bought from a store you just bought it from a garage sale.

Haven't you ever seen "Beauty and the Beast"? You've disrupted the family of plates! How dare you! You march your *** back to that garage sale and buy the other 3. If they've been sold, then you will have to find the person who bought them and offer them twice what they paid for it. If they refuse to sell them, then steal them in the middle of the night.

YOU MUST RESTORE THE FAMILY OF PLATES OR THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE WILL COLLAPSE!

Rules at a garage sale are set by the seller. If the plates were offered separately. then, no, you did nothing wrong.

You should have brote all of them it would have problemly saved you some money. Yes you were rude cause of the fact it was a garage sale you are surposed to bye all the plates. Ok sweety :-)

No...plates don't "normally' come in sets of five anyway. And I agree, they wouldn't have sold them to you if it was a problem!
