I love how all you people say is "They'll take our jobs!" But in the same breath, when referring to the poor, you'll say "Well if they buckled down and went to college, they wouldn't be in that situation!"

Well, allow me to explain. "Illegals don't go to college....so they don't take jobs from college educated people. So if you just followed the advice you always give to the poor, then you don't have to worry about losing jobs to illegal immigrants.

Supply and demand. If the supply of labor far exceeds the demand, wages are depressed. This is what is occurring now. If all of the poor in this country went to college, do you really think that there would be jobs for all of them? I have a bachelor's degree and have been denied work at McDonald's, Wal-mart, etc because I'm "overqualified" and I have been refused jobs within my field because I cannot pass the physicals because of health problems. Getting an education doesn't get you a job, it educates you out of a job a lot of times.

Jessica there are people that work for Walmart that have more then four years of college, it just depends on the position. There are several different slots for employment, not just cashier or sales clerk.. Some people in high management at Walmart make a decent living.

That is like most/ not all people on here don't seem aware of the fact that in the last 20 years there has already been 2 amnesty bills given by the American people. In my opinion it is both of those two amnesty bills that created our current problem, and increased the numbers of home grown terrorists in America. Many of those criminals that were granted amnesty now have grown children that hate America, and Americans of all races just like their parent's before them.
