Usually that is just what dogs do. As long as he does get up to play, eat, and do his normal activities, he is fine.

Different breeds of dogs have naturally different energy levels. For example, Jack Russels are typically very energetic, while English Bulldogs are more apt to like long naps. Also, like people, puppies need lots of naps and so do elderly dogs. More importantly, dogs need excercise and stimulation! If your dog isn't getting any excercise (long walks, fetch in the park, etc.) he'll become lathargic and lose interest in playtime. You also want to make sure your dogs is getting the right type of food and the right amount....if you don't think any of this applies, take your dog to the vet to make sure there's not a more serious issue. Good luck!

i dont know how old your dog is, but as they get older they sleep a lot more, and in the summer time, the heat seems to make them tired more often.

cuz, its the dog dayz of summer, its too hot for them to be getting up and around, and getting all hot, and they can get sick too sometimes, if they are inside for a long time then just keep running around outside in the heat!

that's his daily routine. It's not like he has a job or school to be at. If you were home all day everyday, with no responsibilites at all, not even feeding yourself. You'd lay around all day too.
