Okay. This is a tough question, so here are the details:

After high school, I went to college in a larger city while my family stayed behind in a small town. I met a guy who I totally fell in love with and with whom I am now married. When I couldn't afford school any more, I moved in with him to an even larger city. We lived 45 mins away from my parents. After we lived there for about 2 years, with intermittent visits from my parents, they convinced us to move to their town. It would be easier, they said, they would be able to help us out more. Blah blah blah. So we moved. We've been living here since April and I feel that we actually were better off living in the city. My 16 year old sister talks to me like I am retarded, ugly, and fat. (I was always the pretty, smart sister - when I lived at home) My parents leave us out of trips to the city and family get togethers. I feel that when I talk, I am not being listened to and if I try to explain all this to them that I'll be blown off

I also feel that when I try to become more involved with them, that they treat me like I'm weaseling in on their plans and I should butt out. What the hell? It was THEM that wanted me to move. Why the hell are they treating me like an outcast?

So...what do you think? Am I being paranoid or am I right? What should I do and how should I handle this? Thanks!

They prolly just feel like that you are different now since you lived in the city. I would def. move out. I would try talking with them. They should love you for you, not for being exactly like them
