Definately your moms church. I am LDS too. and I had to study a long time to learn it for myself. Just look around at the confusions of today...read some of the questions in this forum. No one has a clue, no one has morals, no one knows even the purpose of existence or where we are going after we die, or what we are going to do once we get there. What is great about the LDS church, is that there is always an answer. Yes, you have to take some things on faith for now, but thats not to say it iwll never be answered. And it makes sense! Ask the right people. after all, not everyone who is LDS knows what they are talking about .Not everyone is an expert. Talk to a lot of people, but study it out for yourself. Get some missionaries to help you. Your mom will know how to find some, or just email me and I'll help you out. They are basically there to teach you what you are wanting to know.

Ah, the question that everyone seeks an answer to. Understand that most people answer this question by recommending the church that they prefer instead of which one is the right (true) one. The Christian church would be the Luthren church...the New Testament would label the LDS church a "false religion" with a false Christ. Paul in the book of Galatians said that if anyone came after the apostles and taught something different, they were accursed...strangely enough, Joseph Smith came along and introduced a "missing gospel" which was called the Book of Mormon. Interestingly, Smith is still on record in his home state as a criminal; he was arrested for fraud. That should be a big red flag. Also...NONE of the cities in the Book of Mormon (which is supposedly the ancient history of North America) have ever archeologically been uncovered. The church of LDS is severely lacking.

The one true church I believe is the Living Church of God. I have searched and looked heavily into many different churches for over 8 years and have not found one that comes as close to the bible and Jesus' teachings as this church. Many people will tell you that there isn't one. Well if there isn't one then how can you come to learning about the real truth if God's true church didn't exist today. This church teaches and practises from the bible and its facts. They don't give you any personal ideas like others do. When you listen to their online broadcasts especially by Dr. Roderick C. Meredith he will boldly tell you that he didn't write this stuff but to go and look it up in the bible yourself. The bible was written by holy men who were INSPIRED by God to put down the things that are in there and it was written about 2000 plus years ago. Has any other book stood the test of time for so long as the bible? No. Here is their website so you can check them out thoroughly http://www.tomorrowsworld.org/. Remember, you CAN compare what they teach as to what is written in the bible and they make it very clear and easy to understand. Please research them carefully so you won't be misguided. I used to be catholic, but I got tired of going to a church that wasn't teaching anything, and I got tired of hearing the same thing every week, month, and year without them ever telling you everything in the entire bible. Think about this, you will never hear a catholic priest read 1 Timothy chapter 3 which is the qualifications of a bishop. Basically it tells you how to be a minister of God. To be a minister you should be married, but are priests married and have children? So that is why you will never hear it from them.

Many people feel that there is no one church that is the true church, but this doesn't go along with Bible teachings. In the ancient times, God had a special people, one special people, the Jews, and identified them as such (Exodus 19:5). Later, when the Jews would not recognize Christ, God's son, as their savior, God went to the Gentiles and formed a covenant, or agreement with them (Gal 3:29). Christianity was born. From that day forward, there would be many who would associate themselves with the congregation, but not all were genuine (Matt 7:15; Luke 21:8). The same is true today. Over the years there has been much apostasy and the intertwining of paganism with Christianity; men's tradition with God's Word. Very few Christians today worship in the way God wants to be worshipped. Some take all that is written in the Bible quite literally. Others include books that were not included in the original Holy Canon. Others dilute the message (2 Tim 4:3). There are, though, some who do follow what the Bible says, not just in word, but also in spirit. Many recognize these people as Jehovah's Witnesses. This is not a very popular view because it easier to say that we can all attain to God's glory, and it is true, we can, but only if we follow his rules. Just because only one religion is true does not mean it is exclusive or haughty. It is just up to all of us to decide if we want to take this life that God has given us seriously, and if so are we willing to do what it takes to make him happy. Please contact your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses if you have anymore questions.

Andrea, LDS aka Mormons used to believe in polygamy (having numerous wives or husbands at the same time). They don't now.

The Catholic Church is the oldest Christian religion. At one point, the Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic Church disagreed on certain points and split apart.

During the 1500s, Martin Luther tacked his thesis to the church door. From that time began the Protestant Reformation and Protestant churches.

Each church says they are the true church. So it is a decision each person has to make on his own.

There is such thing as a true Church since Christ established His church. His old Church was apostatized and became the Catholic church. The proof that it was apostatized is that it's teachings are no longer one with the bible. It now worships images and forbids marriage and it has many other pagan doctrines. You can find Christ' true church since it is named after Him.

If you seek his Father in Heaven who is God with all your heart you should be able to find Christ church but hurry.

The True Church is the Church a person feels comfortable and at home in. Therefore, there is a True Church for every person.

any church that goes against the bible can't possibly be the church that Christ established. Don't go by denomination. Where the spirit of God is , there is liberty. If you are bound by traditions, ways of worship etc, then this is not of God and I suggest you find another church. Look for a Nondenominational Evangelical Church. Labels on churches can really divert your attention from God.

Actually both are wrong!

Most (Matt.7:13) follow the crowd's teachings such as: (Rom.1:25)Sunday Worship(Sun god), Trinity(pagan doctrine), going to heaven, (2Tim.2:18)Jesus's Death Friday and Resurrection Sunday, Rapture, (Jer.10; Gal.4:8-10)Pagan Days(pagan gods such as cupid-Valentine's, ishtar-Easter and etc.) such as New Years, Valentine's, St. Patrick's, Easter, Halloween and Christmas. They are actually (Rev.13:3,12)following the (Rev.17:5)mother church; the Roman Catholic Church which tried to change God's Law(Dan.7:25) and cast all the truth to the ground(Dan.8:12).

If you look at every church; they have one or more of these doctrines, except for 1 which is pure and without sin(Eph.4:4; 5:27; Acts 20:28). The pure church follows Jesus(2Peter 2:21; Col.2:6) and the Apostles(Eph.2:20) completely as every word in the Bible(Luke 4:4).

There isn't one true church. I am sure that if you asked your mom, she would say LDS. Ask your dad and he will say Luthren. As the people on here and they will tell you what ever their flavor of the day is. As yourself which flavor suits you best. Maybe none of them will.
