GENTLEMEN! Please give me your opinions. Do guys do this deliberately to make a woman jealous & insecure?????

Question

We just recently broke up. I just got off the phone with him and all he could talk about was how many girls he's hooked up with and are calling him. He tells me how fine the women who live around him are and that just last night he spent the night with one of them.
He is really good looking, so he's probably not lying - maybe exaggerating. Regardless, he knows how jealous I am yet he is throwing this in my face and I'm devestated.
My question is, do you think he is doing it for show (aka. he's lying), or just to be a jerk and make me feel bad?
Why would a guy do this?

The guy species is a strange thing. We feel it necessary to be in control at one level or another, and breaking up with him made him lose that. So, he's lashing out against that, trying to keep some semblance of power in the situation. It happens, everyone does it... It's probably true to some extent, but quite exaggerated and repeated for effect.

OMG, you poor thing! Well, first of all, let me say that he is probably exagerating and being a jerk because he knows it will get to you. He is maybe feeling a little hurt or angry and doesn't know how to express his emotions, so he acts out and tries to get back at you. The best thing you can do is pretend like it doesn't bother you and tell him that you don't care and you don't want to hear about it.

One other thing, if he acts like this and you guys are no longer going out, why do you still talk to him. The best idea I can give you is to not bother with him any more. Now you know how low he is going to stupe, so just leave it at that and allow him to be a childish prick without bringing you down too!

I hope this helps, and I know it's hard right after a break-up, but it will get better eventually, just keep your chin up and chauk this up to a learning experience for what NOT to date next time!

i think he's a jerk and that he's just lying meaning you did a good choice you broke up with him.

I don't know, maybe it's something about competition... I had this friend once that told me he had sex with this girl. I thought the same about him and kinda believed him, but then, 1 day I met that girl he said he had sex with in real life and asked her. What do you think she said? "I NEVER HAD SEX WITH HIM!!! HE'S A FKING LIER!!!"

So yeah.

Why would guys do it? To get attention. You think it's very easy for today's guys to hook up with today's girls? Of course not. Why? Cause girls today are way too challenging and many of them give a hard time to guys. So here's a message to all girls: try to give a guy a chance more often cause you won't be sorry.

He is lying, he hasn't had any real play (unless you count playing with himself ) since you broke up with him. Otherwise he would not feel the need to make you jealous. This is a last ditch effort to make you realize you dumped a stud of a guy and come running back to him.

Just tell him that some guy keeps giving you expensive jewelry and wants to go out with you. Make him seem like a cheap ***, and he might come back groveling with gifts in hand.

All the above! He's lying and being a jerk in translation he's not over you yet and probably still in love with you. He's acting like this because he lost all power when you guys split so he's not only lying to you but his self too. It's really hard to be friends when you split so get ready for a lot of games if you're willing to have this nut still in your life.

He most likely is lying to you because he can't get over you and he wants you to feel jealous so you realize how much you like him. If it was a long term relationship, I don't think he would just go out and hook up with girls for the fun of it. He most likely still has feelings for you.

He's social proofing. He goes out and screws a bunch of chicks and then lets you know about it. The idea here is to let you know that you let go a man who is in high demand. This is important because most girls arrogantly assume that their boyfriend is loyal to them because they can't get another girl. After devaluing them like this they start to disrespect them and then they leave. The irony is that they are being hit on every single day and resist this because they love you. Either he is showing you this to dispel your warped image of him so you will want him again, or more likely he is pissed off at your presumption and he is rubbing your nose in the fact that you are an ungrateful, arrogant and ignorant *****. Eventually, he'll find someone who appreciates him and you will never hear from his again.

First things first, who broke up with whom and why ?
Because i once broke up with this girl and we agreed to stay friends and she
use to tell me about her escapades and the men she met ,trying to make me jealous ,but that's because i called it off.
And agreeing to stay friends sets you up for that, especially if you still have feeling for that person.

So no i don't think hes lying,
and yes hes trying to make you jealous ,
and depending on the friendship level you guys agreed upon determines whether hes being a jerk or not.

Don't you see, he knows you're the jealous type and is trying to play that card against you. Guys who are seen with lots of different women are considered "hot" and more attractive to other women. The reasoning here on the part of women is that, "if he can get any girl he wants, then I want him too!"

You know, its better to find out now then later. He seems like a jerk. Just ignore him and you will find yourself a good man who has some respect for you. And if you all just broke up, why talk to him on the phone. It's a waste of time for both of you.
