I do not think when you give charity, you should give it to a certain category of people. Though Muslims help Muslims, Christians help Christians and so on, this is because people of the same group or belief are more likely to offer help to each other than to people of different beliefs. Many people do not mind this difference but the point I want to make here is that charity should be secret; otherwise, it is not considered charity, it is showing off and flattering with your money.

We need more PEOPLE like him, much less Muslims! A fantastic example. Also, charity is one of the major teachings of Islam, so in so doing, he is fulfilling an obligation. Christians are supposed to do things like that too once in a while..

It's required of every Muslim to give charity.

sure, giving charity is between the 5 responsibilities of each and every Muslim and we ought to provide to those in pick without going adverse to our faith I.E. is someone is hungry we doesn't donate pork products, or if someone needs clothing we may donate lengthy pants instead of short skirt and so on.

One of the five pillars of Islam is giving to charity.

I think what he is doing is incredible. I don't know of many Christians who would so willingly do the same.

I can't tell about the religious point of view, (ofcourse it MUST be right) but kudos to that guy. He is helping another person inspite of whatever religion s/he belongs. Humanity plays an important role than religion here. I'd give that guy 10 points.

yes it's ok. in islam it goes thru this process:

1st, look for any poor relatives (relatives first such as ur brother, mother, sister, uncles...). if they are fine, then go for the next one

2nd, look for ur neighbour or any close muslim u know. if everyone is fine then go for the next one

3rd, look after the people of the book (christian and jewish)

4rth, anyone else

that's what i think.
