do you mean this ..
“Do not go by revelation or tradition, do not go by rumor, or the sacred scriptures, do not go by hearsay or mere logic, do not go by bias towards a notion or by another person’s seeming ability and do not go by the idea ‘He is our teacher’. But when you yourself know that a thing is good, that it is not blamable,
that it is praised by the wise and when practiced and observed that it leads to happiness, then follow that thing.”
Once there was a man called Upali. He was the follower of another religion and he went to the Buddha in order to argue with him and try to convert him. But after talking to the Buddha, he was so impressed that he decided to become a follower of the Buddha. But the Buddha said:
“Make a proper investigation first. Proper investigation is good for a well-known person like yourself.”
“Now I am even more pleased and satisfied when the Lord says to me: ‘Make a proper investigation first.’ For if members of another religion had secured me as a disciple they would have paraded a banner all around the town saying: ‘Upali has joined our religion.’ But the Lord says to me: ‘Make a proper investigation first. Proper investigation is good for a well known person like yourself.”
yeah, i think it it's a good way before choosing any religion.. i don't mean that it has to be 'Buddhist'.. everyone of you have your own right to choose.. wether it is 'Christian', 'Islam', 'Atheist'.
but of course whatever religion/belief you choose, you'll be great at your belief if you make an investigation first like the quote above.

The true Christian will do exactly that. Christ was also a teacher. There are perversions of all religions, some worse than others. Many hold a fundamentalist attitude, which I sometimes find unpleasant as well. If you distill the basic teachings of the great religions down, you get something along the lines of the "Golden Rule," treat others as you would be treated. I will tolerate anyone who does that.

Right now Jesus and Buddha are hanging out together. You should learn about the festival of Wesak. Very few people understand what Jesus and Buddha said, especially the Buddists and Christians. Buddha said that that he is not God, when people asked Jesus how to pray, he replied, "Our Father, who art in heaven..." Nowhere in the Our Father does Jesus ask us to pray to him. You have been so abused with the lies that 2000 years of old men trying to maintain their power have twisted what Jesus said that you have no idea of what he really meant. You speak of Jesus and Buddha as if they were competing with each other when they are on the same team. If you were not blind to the spirit world(i.e. if you were clairvoyant,) you would be able to see that for yourself and stop spreading the lies and hate out of ignorance.

Budda did not say he create the universe or mankind. At least he is honest about that part.
