The closest subway stop is the new New York Avenue station but that is still a hike--- about a mile away. The other stations listed here--- Metro Center, MacPherson Square and Farragut North--- are all in Northwest and that makes them further away. Best to visit Metro's web site at wmata.com and get bus route information.

The closest DC Metro station to the closest Baltimore light rail or subway station is at least 40 miles. You can take a MARC train from DC to Balimore. And if you're trying to get to Inner Harbor, why would you fly into Dulles. There are two airports closer. If it was to save a couple of bucks, you'll more than eat it up getting from Virginia to Baltimore.

Take the X-2 Metro bus, labeled Lafayette Park, to Union Station - that is the closest Metro station. get off the bus at the corner of North Capitol Street and H St. Walk two blocks to Union Station, go inside the station and take the escalator to the Metro underground.

The closest Metro service is the X Metrobuses, which serve H and 12th Streets NE from New York Avenue on the Red Line to the west, and Minnesota Avenue on the Orange Line to the east. X3 serves New York Avenue, while Minnesota Avenue is served by all three X routes.

The closest metro station is Metro Center, which is 607 13th St. NW, Washington, DC.
All you have to do is walk north to H streeet from the G and 12th street exit (or in your case south to the exit) or the F and 12th exit. (But since G is closer to H, I would pick that exit to walk to..)
