I believe Canada has lost 16 soldiers there. Sure..that might be a drop in the bucket compared to the US. We also have only 10% of the US population too.

Correction...make that 17 dead. Another soldier died last night after a firefight.

Yes!!! It appears that Canada is now sacrificing lives - both their own and those of the nation of Afghanistan - to cultural relativism. Many of its efforts, it recently was revealed on the news, have been devoted to trying to stop the trade of opium between Afghanistan and the Far East. The opium den is as much a cultural institution in China and Viet Nam as is the bar in Western countries. People who smoke opium are usually most dangerous to themselves. When I was growing up I knew some Chinese kids whose grandmother seemed to smoke opium on a regular basis, and they were embarrassed when she showed up looking stoned. I knew some others who had a parent who was an alcoholic, and they were embarrassed about the way they looked for the same reason.

Peace keeping and disaster relief is good.

If you do pull out of afghanistan being from canada or usa it could be distaster or good. It depends on how deep we are in to bin laden and also how much getting sadam is more important. The cause is to be terrorism not cause more bombing or death to continue in other countries like canda, usa, etc.. The questions is if we pull out what will it do after we all have done? Is it worth the cause? You decide in your own mind.

no, they should stay there,, what if terrists start crap on canada? where would canada run to for help? ya right, the usa, so if canada ran away from afganistane do you think the states will help them in the future? countrys have to stick together, the states are the only ones with guts, and are willing to fight for there country and other countrys. how many thousands of men and women have died from the states so far just in iraq, and in afganistan, while you look at the canadians have lost 16 men and one women, harper is starting to build up the canadian forces, its about dam time, i applied to join the canadian army durying desertstorm, they refused me,becuse im missing a toe, plus they were only out there for peiece keeping at he back of the lines, i joined the american army and was fighting at the front lines, i was fighting for the usa, and was dam proude of it to. many loose there lives over there to keep people safe all over the world.

they could. when I study each and every one of those questions, it reinforces my opinion that usa of america might want to renounce club in NATO, SEATO, and all the different militia alliances. we'd want to continually also terminate those "mutual protection" treaties that are mutual in call in ordinary words. we'd want to continually also get out of the UN and deliver them packing. I doubt the Canadian authorities will pull out of Afghanistan. As an American, I understand international places no longer desirous to participate in Iraq, regardless of the indisputable fact that the 9/11 attacks were planned, ordered, coordinated and released by employing a collection that became truly a "de facto" part of the Taliban authorities. Breaking a NATO dedication is the starting up of the accurate for that company. What us of a will commit troops in protection of a member us of a that does no longer reciprocate?
