What's the difference between a citizen of the US breaking into a home and stealing to feed their family and an illegal breaking into our country to feed their family? If someone broke into your home and stole from you, to feed their family, would you want them to be punished for the crime? Why not the illegals breaking into our country and stealing our resourses and our jobs, shouldn't they be punished for their crime?

I would say to the man breaking into my house, if he gave me the "to feed my family" story, that there are other ways to get food, money, etc. He was probably just to lazy to do it. To the illegal I would say the same thing. There is another way to feed your family, you are just too lazy to go through the motions. Be it legal entry or working to reform their own country.

Plenty of questions in this one, don't give me that crap about "so what's the question?"

The difference is; If a person broke into MY house, they would be shot dead on sight.
The people who choose to break MY nations laws are almost rewarded for the criminal behavior, and MY government official;s are considering, rewarding these criminals even further! Talk about a farce!

Are we not a country that is requesting the tired, hungry and poor??? This country was founded on people not following protocal with in their own country. When did Americans develop such a snob appell? I have found that people do not want immigrants, illegal or legal cause they are afraid of the treat it poses in the future. These immigrants will come to the US, work hards that the normal american and will succeed but creating a better envrioment for their children to acheive sucess. Americans are not hunrgy anymore, and we are afraid to be shown up...plain and simple.

There is no difference. Some people think there is because if you break into a country there is no one victim to point out. No identifiable victim, no crime. Only people here illegally and those who are wealthy enough not to be impacted by illegals are dumb enough to believe this. Both groups seem rather selfish to me. Neither seem to care at all for the millions of us who are adversely affected by the millions of illegals.

I have read responses from law enforcement here that state 90% of all the arrests they ever made in their career was from illegals breaking the law seriously.

If you can pass a law to wear seatbelts to save lives, why can't you pass laws to defend our borders from our people getting victimized by all levels of crime including saving lives?

The law is the law and must apply equally to everyone. No one, not even an illegal is above the law. Anyone who is here illegally is breaking the law and as such is a criminal and a threat to our national security.

I agree. There is no excuse for breaking the law.
And I still haven't seen one hospital report that anyone was starving.
We do have plenty of our own who are poor. First them and than others.

i think they should go through the proper channels and become citizens legally! Why can't they do it the right way so we do not have to worry about them?
