I've read a lot of questions and statements on this board, and people sometimes say things like 'white people' etc etc etc, not worth repeating...I'm really curious to know if people believe that the immigration issue is race-related. I don't want a country full of illegal immigrants, russian, mexican, andeluvian, I really don't care.
But, what's YOUR view?

The following are comments made by Shelby Steele an African American Recsearcher on race relation he is very well respected in this field.

". . . the goodwill of America finally did do to us what slavery and segregation failed to do. It destroyed our family, destroyed our character, and now black America is in a struggle."

"I think affirmative action is the worst cruelty blacks have endured since slavery."

"Political correctness is an outgrowth of white guilt. It’s a way for guilty-feeling whites to constantly indicate that they’re not racist, not colonialists, not imperialists, not warmongers, and so on."

"White guilt, which I think defines liberalism, is a response to the stigma that white Americans bear for practicing racism for four centuries. Whites live with this constant pressure of having to demonstrate to the world that they’re not bigots, and this manifests itself in many facets of American life."

"I’ll give you my bottom line: We’ve done worse in freedom than we did in segregation. It’s abominable that we made more advances between 1945 and 1965 than we have since, but it’s the truth."

"No one wants to say the problem with black America is a lack of responsibility for ourselves. If you say that and you’re white, you’re going to be called a racist. If you say that and you’re black, you’re going to be called an Uncle Tom. But that’s the truth."

Now with that said STOP!!!!!! Feeling guilty and "politically correct" for wanting to protect what is ours!!! The problem is not ours let them solve there own problems in their own countries stop white guilt we cannot help what our ancestors done. I am not a racist or a bigot I am an American who thinks that all peoples should be treated equal not special for there color whether it be white black yellow brown or whatever. So The answer is No you are not a racist for wanting to protect and enforce the law in your own country Now Stand Up and make some noise it is time to take back our country before we no longer have a country to defend and true western civilization is lost. IF you don't agree with me that is fine but it will not change my mind. Thanks for reading this and God Bless America.

It is and isn't race related. Most of the millions of illegals are Mexicans. They are not only coming in at an alarming rate, they are also outbreeding every other race. Before you claim they aren't a race, even THEY consider themselves to be a race. They have advocacy groups that encourgage racism, mass immigration, rewriting history to make us look like conquerers (even though the US bought Mexico and they both signed a treaty), they push spanish language, and they do alot of law breaking. So when we rightly focus on Mexicans, they respond with their usual racist nonsense. There are a handful of white and black racists badmouthing Mexicans, but they are the minority. Most just don't want this invasion of foreigners who are using up the resources of the poor and working class and treating us like we are the foreigners. They are nationalistic Mexicans living and working in the US and that's not working for the rest of us.
It is NOT racist to enforce the law unless the law discriminates by race, the way much of the affirmative action laws are used. Immigration laws are not racist against Mexicans. There are just so many more of them so that is who we focus on.

No i dont think it is racist that immigration enforcement be carried out. We do have laws regarding this reason and have had them since we were a so called "democracy". People can visit but not live and mooch here, just like any other country in the world ; )

No I don't think it's racist at all. True racism is such an ugly thing, and for the word to be used so carelessly and incorrectly by people trying to get a free ride shows their ignorance and makes light of others who have truly been discriminated against because of their RACE.

No. Because if I was in any other country in the world they would be enforcing immigration. It isn't a race issue. It's a issue of obeying the rules of the country to visit.

Of course it's not racist ... if you're against illegal immigrants from everywhere, how can it be racist? Mind you, I've found out to my cost the new definition of racist, which is "racist = one who wants to uphold the law" ... and incidentally, all those pro illegals who insist on sending IMs, please TRY and come with some other arguments than pulling the old race card ... it's getting old ...

It never was a question about immigration to the US, it has always been a topic of rasim... all you anti immigration people is bigots... You only want to use hispanics as cheap labor, the immigration enforcment should be carried out on you... how would you like that ?

I don't think immigration enforcement is necessary. After all at one stage or another every country has been populated with immigrants-that is how we have nations around the world. Bring them in and let them diversify the country, we shall we rich for it later.

Yes, very.

The only peoples that should be concerned about immigrates are the Native Americans, of which my grandmother was.

Everyone else IS an immigrant.

The only people that are saying it is about race, is the people that condone 20million people breaking our laws.
Everyone else seems to think it is about respecting the laws of the country a person is entering.
