Live a good life, tell them you appreciate them, help them if they ask for help, don't do anything to dishonor their name, honor their counsel by not scoffing at it( whether you choose to follow it is still your choice), give them respect because they have been further down the road of life than you. Show up to the family reunions, show up at their house just because(unless they want you to call). Most of all be their for them but never let them come before your spouse or your children if you have these in your life.

If you have pictures make them an album of pictures of yourselves.with your own captions or thoughts written alongside them. Make a card and write a poem in it for them telling them how you feel about them, Make up some "I'll do it" cards for various chores around the house like laundry, dishes, taking the garbage out etc.

Parents do a good job raising you up and it's really meaningful for you to do something to appreciate them. What you could do is make their dreams come true, for instance, if they want you to get a job as a doctor, then do it, but only if you want to pursue in that direction, other than that, find other dreams that you want to complete for them.

Just tell them and spend time with them, parents don't require a whole lot to be happy on a subject like this, they will appreciate the fact that you noticed and acknowledged their efforts and it will mean a lot to them.

How nice...what your parents are very lucky and you are so thoughtful. Write them separate letters. Sometimes maybe even try your hand at writing them poetry; no matter how simple, i.e., roses are red...I assure you they will love and cherish it!
