I had this at the Starlight Room in San Francisco and I thought it was very autumy - almost like a spiced orange martini:
Cable Car
Created by Tony Aboud-Ganim
1 1/4 oz. spiced rum
3/4 oz. triple sec
1 1/4 oz. fresh sour
Shake, strain into a sugar and cinnamon rimmed cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
If that doesn't appeal, how about appeltini's with cinnamon rim-trim? And you could have non-alcoholic apple cidar for the non-drinkers in attendance.

Well....I love wine so wine it is! We featured 2 wines at our wedding, the red was a Rosemount Shiraz and the white was a Rosemount Traminer Riesling - both were excellent - and they were served at all our guests tables throughout dinner so that they didn't even need to go up to the bar...unless they wanted beer or hard liquor. It worked really well and you can never go wrong with wine.

Depending on what you are serving for the entree.... I think that wine would be appropriate.....wouldn't your guest order what ever they wanted during the cocktail hour or are you serving everyone the same cocktail?

I like a Kir Royale myself, sparkling wine and chambord. Anything with cranberry juice is really good in the fall. I like peach schnapps or apple pucker schnapps and cranberry juice. Call them whatever you want. Have fun and good luck.
