Yes it is. I actually believe it is better if you nurse because your body is giving the antibodies it is producing to fight the fever you have to the baby through your milk, and he will have a stronger defense from the fever he has. I have nursed 4 children (still nursing the last stubborn one) and I always nursed while I was sick. Sometimes the baby didn't get it, sometimes they did. Mostly not though. If the baby has a throwing up sickness though, and is throwing up even the milk, you'll need to put the baby on strictly pedialyte until the vomiting stops. Also, you need to check on your fever, if it is a normal "I am sick" fever then you should be ok, if it is associated with something like mastitis(breast infection) you will want to check with your doctor. Good Luck

Yes!!! It is always best to breastfed a sick baby, unless the child cannot take milk by mouth or a doctor advises otherwise (and for a good reason!). As for a sick mom, there are very few conditions that require mom to not breastfed. Obviously, you should make sure any medication that mom takes is safe during breastfeeding. Also, be sure to get enough fluids, even if you aren't keeping anything else down.

I would call my doctor and find out what you and the baby had . Better to play it safe when it comes to babies.
