Tobacco** and Illegal**, and no-it shouldn't. I personally would never smoke a cigarette and have no desire to. I don't see the benefit to smoking, but I think it's a personal choice, and if you take that away you're limiting the freedom guaranteed to people by this country.

I have a problem with a lot of things that have been legislated to death. It seems that every decade, there are a bunch of moral crusaders, trying to impose their views on the rest of the world. While I can see banning smoking in public places due to health reasons, I think it would be a major mistake to illegalize tobacco. Keep in mind that the average car puts out about 100 times the amount of carcinogens than tobacco, but they are still running on gasolene powered internal combustion engines when alternatives have been available for decades. Outlaw car pollution before tobacco. Not only the personal choice issues are involved, but think of the massive amounts of jobs which would be lost, not to mention the lost taxes. This reminds me of Prohibition. It has been tried many times, and always failed. The reason is simple, the government has no place trying to be moral police. The effects of alcahol are a hundred times worse than tobacco, yet it is still legal. Even Marijuana has less side effects and is a milder intoxicant than alcahol, and it is still illegal. So no I don't think it should be made illegal. And no I am not a smoker, I quit 2 years ago. My personal choice, which is what it should be, not a forced government dictate.

No. I am also glad those lawyers in Florida lost the case and the tobacco companies won. How stupid can you be for smoking your whole life and then blaming it on the tobacco company? You really think putting smoke into your lungs was good for you? Frickin' idiot's and I am glad they lost their lawsuit. I hope they blew their life savings on attorney fees.......

Tobacco or tobasco? Either way, both should be legal. The choice to consume is up to the individual.

Whether or not it should is not the question.
Politicians will never outlaw this product. Money talks to politicians and tobacco is one of the highest taxed products.

it's just illegal for those who under 18 years old. Anyway, I hope tobacco will be illegal for all ages, because they are nasty stuff, and really unhealthy for your lungs too.

Why, it will be just another substance the government will control like pot/grass and people would be buying it illegally.

If they make tobacco illegal then they would have to make sugar illegal cause that's bad for you too. It would be nice but it would never work.
