Is canned answers like,
"God made Adam & Eve not Adam & Steve"
the only answer Christians have?
If God didn't create Steve, then why does Steve exist. And what happen to all the Steves that existed before God granted us his wisdom in the Bible. Straight to hell? Lets grow up.
If all you can throw out there in an intelligent discussion is a borrowed one liner, that tells me how much you are thinking about the question.

As the creator, God has the right to set the standards we should live by. Since he endowed us with free will, we are allowed the choice of respecting his standards or choosing to follow our own path. In the Bible, he makes his views on homosexuality very clear. Note what is said at Romans 1:26, 27, 32: "that is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full reompense, which was due for their error."
If a person chooses a lifestyle contrary to God's standards, he is basically putting himself in opposition to God. I've heard many homosexuals say that they were born that way. That may be true, but consider this: if a person has a mental defect that causes him to want to kill others, does that person have any less of a responsibility toward God to fight against those tendencies? The same reasonsing can be applied to any number of things - fornication, stealing...the list goes on and on.
The bottom line is that God has the right to set the standards for us because he created us. If we don't like the standards he sets, he's lovingly provided us with the gift of free will...we just have to deal with the consequences of those choices.

God did write the Bible, maybe not with His own hands like you're thinking, but He told certain men what to write and they wrote it. Second of all, good deeds do not get you into heaven. No amount of loving others and helping them will get you into the Kingdom of Heaven...only salvation through Jesus Christ. Thirdly, what does this have to do with homosexuality?

Indeed... Why did God create "Steve" in so many species? Ever seen a male dog humping another male dog? How about chimps? Oh bonobos are quite horny. And... umm. do I need to proceed? Are you a mammal? Then yes, you have homosexuality within your species. Yeah! Great for nature! Did God create nature? I'll be damned if he didn't!

i think some parts of it are from him, but many others are just the opinion of the prophets, i do agree with you that each ancient culture knew God and gave it different names, like: yawheh, allah, wiracocha, etc. let's not worry about the name but about his commands.

You truly have no faith, you have no idea what you stand for or beileve. God is nothing more than just a good feeling at what ever time you have it. God has to fit in to your little box instead of you fitting into his.
How sad it must be to have so little faith. I have more respect for aheist because they at least stand by their beliefs.
Choose something even if it oppostite, but to say all is good and leads to the same place is just proof you have no idea what true faith is.

Men wrote the bible as the Holy Spirit moved on them and told them what to write. God has rules and as His creation, we should obey them.
