This is an interesting perspective, but most churches I believe are set up as non-profit organizations, and hence are not offering a "product" per se. To categorize churches and religion in general as you have is to say the same for any and all charities.
If you have doubts about any particular religion, the best thing to do is to research it yourself. If you have no interest in it, then move on.
I must add also that most churches are different than some of the crazy televangelists that I've seen who sell small green "money prayer" handkerchiefs for $20. That falls more under the scam category.
Otherwise, people donate to churches or other places of worship because they want to. Religion also gives people a sense of community and belonging and often teach valuable things such as community service. There is no proof for things such as massage, but people utilize their services because they make you feel better. And in most religions, donations are voluntary-believing is free.
Best wishes.

I know exactly how my church uses my donation. It pays for staff salaries and facility expenses. It helps construct schools, churches, and medical buildings in Peru, Russia, and Nigeria. I can even go on a trip and help with the construction.
I wouldn't give to a church that isn't transparent about how they use funds. Sounds like you're angry about something else--ask the real questions about faith, not just cheapshots that you think tear down the local church.

If you only knew what you are saying. But, it's true that many abuse it, but it's the religion--it's the horrible person inside.
G-- has revealed wonders to me because I asked. Now, I don't know how to deal with the situation. It's to big for me. But, one thing I will tell you is: next year or 2226 will make a believer out of you. The problem is it will be too late for you
G-- has allowed me to see the anti christ
