It's like, if you get leprosy on your arm, you don't sit around and hope that the leprosy goes away, or pray about it, or put some neosporin on it, you cut your d*** arm off and CUT YOUR LOSSES.

The bigger question is weather you can ever trust this person again. If you feel that it was something that he has gotten over, but more importantly something that you think you can forget, then maybe try dating again.
The weird thing is, sometimes people only start to miss what they had once the lose it, but unfortunately the other person can never get over the pain that they went through, which is perfectly fine and nothing wrong with feeling.
Some people deserve a second chance, other don't, but would you really want to be with someone who you are always looking for a reapeat in his goof up?
If you still have feelings for him and can find it in you to forgive and forget, then go for it.
If you still have feelings, but will never be able to forgive what he has done to you, then I wouldn't waste my time.

It is hard mostly if you still have feelings for that person. However, you have to take in consideration if the person is playing with you, confused or if he/she has changed and maybe wants to try it again. Also, it depends on what happened with you guys, if he cheated i wouldnt because if there is no trust then it is bound to fail. In any case, just rememeber that you come first and that sometimes you have to give things up but at the end it was for the best. Good Luck :-)

after 4 marriges and many girls friends i find the answer for both sexs the same as my mom said 50 years ago...you can not change the spots on a lepoard. he leaves you once he will do it again. he hits you once he will do it again. you can not nor should you have to change someone.and no..love does not mend all.

Depends on if you want them back.
If they hurt you so badly before, is it worth the risk to try again or move on? think about that question deeply.
If you think it's a better idea to leave it be, then go with that.
it's all up to how you feel, nothing else.
