Nope, it's Persian:

"The name Taj comes from Persian, the language of the Mughal court, meaning crown, and Mahal means palace. Most sources suggest that Taj Mahal is a shorter variant of Mumtaz Mahal, the nickname of Arjumand Banu Begum, meaning First Lady of the Palace."

P.S. Also, it's two words.

The Taj Mahal is in India and was created in India. So check to see if any other country has controlled India besides India. Its either Indian, of what ever language said country speaks.

Taj Mahal in hindi means my refuge or my sanctuary. It is supposed as a panteon, not an icon. Know this construction was made in love of love and the heiress of this land, Agra. You will like its paintings in the interior, and the cute adornment of marble out and in the floor. It is truly wonderful architecture.
