It's hard to answer because some things we don't know. Like, did you or someone recently mop or wash a floor with cleaning chemicals and the kittens walk on it? That could cause both rash and or swelling.

If the swelling is bad and the kittens are in obvious pain you should call or visit your local vet.

Good Luck!

This might sound silly, but count how many toes they have. Sometimes cats are born with extra toes which would make their paws look bigger. They should have 5 toes on the front feet and 4 on the back!! I was just thinking since it is on both kittens it may be this!!

Kittens are naughty and curious. They get their little paws into trouble. Do you have mousetraps? That's probably the answer. Otherwise, other kittens may have bitten them from fights.

We had a cat whos front paw swelled up like a banjo. Turned out, it was "playing" with a Black Widow spider. If you are in an area that has them, you might want to check that out.

Either stepped on something, or got bit. In cold weather areas, I would suspect either one and just monitor their paws, clean them out or something.

In warmer areas, I would take them to the vet, b/c of the poisonous spiders etc.

will if they were playing around and they scratch each other alot of times the dirty in their nails will get in to the other cats skin when their playing and it will get in infected if thats the case you will have to take it to the vet and have it drain. its not unusual for that to happen to cats if its not taken care off it just gets bigger and bigger and then puss runs out

Is it possible that they were stepped on.. being bitten by something would depend on where they are... Are they in Florida where a scorpian could have bitten them?
