Get a tape recorder and tape her , without her knowing. Leave the tape running through several of her tyrants. Then on a calm time when she's in a bit of a better mood play it back for her. Let her hear for herself what she actually sounds like. The reality is she probably doesn't know how bad it is.

Carefully listen to her. when she is on the phone or talking to a friend, or your dad, find out what the problem is. and try to come up with a solution, It's not right to take out fustration on your family, especially kids, but it seriously sounds like she is desperatly unhappy in her own life and need to make a drastic change.....new job, a job, new friends, a hobby, something to relax her.

Well, are you willing to have the family without her?
If so, maybe you should leave. Don't bother giving a forwarding address.
If not, find out about counselling. Sounds like she needs more help than you can give.

depends on how old you are?if over 18 find some friends and split the rent far away from her.oh yah get a job first:). find a free clinic and talk to someone.ask your religous leader.ignor her when she yells.ask her are you finished and is that all you got?walk out of the house for 4 hours.go to a movie.tell her to go a head and leave and meen it.

have your dad or a family member or a close friend of hers talk to her.she may not realize that she is going overboard.I was like that and it took my mother to sit me down and tell me what the kids was telling her about me and them and I now catch my self before I start to yell.So it makes a big difference when another adult talks for the kids. good luck.

Tell her to choke on it and go live with a friend. Be like "Listen you stupid *****..." (thats always a good intro. Everything should flow from there).

that's kinda tough, do some things to make her laugh and feel comfortable, you would know what she likes, help around with chores, do well in your schoolwork and when she yells, don't answer back loudly or argue. you might see some change.....at least.....

First of all call child protective services, if you can't do that, ask a neighbor or adult that you trust to do it for you. You and your siblings do not have to live like this.
