My mind remains open as I continue to study all forms of religion t build myself a new understanding. I doubt I will ever become Islam or any set religion but surly I will find something about your faith that I can use to enhance my own soul.

Knowledge of other religions isn't a bad thing. One can learn about another religion even if their faith is already set because through understanding comes respect. Islam receives a lot of bad press currently because of the actions of a few extremists but this is not typical of the average follower of Islam.

Also the source of the knowledge is important. If the source has been manipulated to portray a bad image of a religion whether it be the religion in question or other religions to promote its own then propaganda develops.

Sincere followers of a religion such as Islam or any other religion all have a part to play in the education of the world and those promoting peace and understanding should be applauded.
I am not Islamic. I am a Catholic.

Its interesting someone above said that islam doesn't peacefully conexist with Jews. If that is the case, then why have Jewish communities existed throughout the Muslim Middle East for much of the last 1500 years. If you read a history book, you find that the Muslims for most of that time (not all of it) were very tolerant of Jews.

Historical revisionists of course with an agenda, would want to make you think otherwise.

Thank you for the very nice and informative link. As a Christian, I appreciate the opportunity to learn more about my brothers and sisters who practice Islam and Judaism. The comment made by the person about Muslims wanting to drive Jews into the ocean is evidence proving that education needs to replace ignorance. We were all created by and are loved by the same God.

No. Because one of their purposes is to drive the Jews into the sea. Islam doesn't teach a peaceful coexistence with the Jews. So why would I want to join Islam?

i think we should view all religions as a higher education about religion and i see nothing wrong with u believing in it. BUT it is when people use their religion for terrorists reasons and not for the good of man we have to be leary.
