This one is driving me potty, I stop drinking over a year ago due to haveing too. and it was very hard for me to get drunk easy and i use to drink myself sorber so i was no light weight when i did drink,
Any how i have tried non alcholic wine and i was ok on that, but tonight my mate got me bottols of Beck's alcohol free lager and it is alchol free as it says so as i wanted to try a change from the wine, anyhow ive drank 4 bottols mixes with black current and to be honest i feal a bit woozey. So my question is why do i feal like i am getting drunk even tho im drinking non alcoholic larger. no one swap them i pour all my drink so no one spiked them. OMG this is strange feeling.

Try drinking it at home alone, just a bottle or two, you should find that it has no effect other than a not so pleasant aftertaste. If this is the case then your answer is indeed "contact drunk" or psychological. I know lifelong teetotallers who get "high" in the pub atmosphere with friends and as the man behind the bar I know they haven't been spiked with alcohol. And no, it is not safe to drive in this condition! While you may pass a breathalyser or drugs test, your judgement is still impaired and you are a danger to yourself and others. Wait for it to pass, I don't know how long it takes, as it changes with the individual.

A study which I was told about once (who's source I cannot recall), stated that drunken-ness is partially psychological condition.

It followed a study of two groups of students, both were told they were being provided with alcoholic drinks, only one group was, the other were being given non-alcoholic drinks. After 1 hour of drinking, both groups appeared to be equally drunk. Which means if we believe we are drinking alcohol, we can maker ourselves believe we are drunk.

I think it's even more the case if there are others drinking around you.

I wonder if it's the same as being "room-stoned".

According to this forum, it has a very small alcohol content .05%. Apparently, it has a blue and red label rather than a green and red label so it looks like a normal Becks bottle. They didn't get the normal bottle by mistake, did they.

Perhaps its psychological, your body knows that "it" gets drunk on lager so even if your drinking a non alcholoic type the brain is tricking its self ? I really dont have a clue otherwise :-)

Does it have even the tiniest bit of alcohol in it? Check the label. Are you on medication?
Allergy or reaction.
Don't really know. Someone spiked your drink for a sick joke? Beware date rape.............

It's a placebo effect. Fancy coming back to mine for a coffee? (it's decaf)!

Could be the placebo effect working away there.
