He just passed away and he has some interesting things. I don't want to sell something at a garage sale that would be worth more to a collector or expert. How do I find out.
Especially the comp. and electronic stuff, there are bits and pieces all over the place.

There are resources out there. You might be surprised on the value of things you wouldn't imagine. As suggested above, use eBay's research tool.
Put the item in the search box entry and make sure you check the box on the lower left side - completed listings - This will show you listings that are completed as opposed to present auctions.
Make sure you check out some of the smaller misc stuff your Uncle had and don't let it get away cheaply. Some people make the mistake of thinking some stuff is junk (which some of it may be) but you know what they say? One man's junk is another man's treasure.

Check eBay and do searches on each item that is a start. Getting things appraised is not always a way to get the true value. An object is only valuable if there is a buyer for it. If old books www.abebooks.com . Antiques Road show has lots of information on their site that may be helpful. Do not rush things you are more likely to get the true price. Sorry for your loss

The easiest and best way is to check eBay and look at comparable stuff. EBay is so large that it basically sets the market price for used items.
