I'm going to buy a used car, and I did a carfax report on the car that I want. Everything was good but there was one thing, it's been in an accident. It says involving right side impact, hit another vehicle, right side primarily damaged. What does that mean(primarily damaged)? Should I still get the car? "Need Help"

That just means there was a little damage to something other than the right side. If you have any other cars you're looking at, or if the price isn't significantly lower than other cars just like it, I'd avoid this one. You never know if the frame was bent in the accident, or if other parts were damaged but not replaced.

Sounds like the damage is "mostly" on the right side. Has the damage been repaired? You should take someone with you that knows something about cars and have them drive it and inspect it. Certainly don't buy it if the damage has not been repaired tho'.

I would not purchase a car that has been in a major accident unless you are getting a heck of a deal. Even if you accept it you'll never get anyone to buy it from you. Are you getting 40 percent off retail blue book?

get someone you know that knows cars well. ask them to go with you and check it out. Or, the seller should have no problem letting you take the car to a mechanic before you buy it to make sure the car is okay. That is your best option.

I would take the car to a mechanic you trust.

Explain to them what the carfax said and see what they say. they will let you know weather the car is safe or not.

primarily damaged means it was damaged before. and i would have it inspected to make sure the damage was repaired without some other form of damage

the right side sustained the bulk of the impact/damage. look into overall prices to see if it's worth it, crashed cars should be less.

yes any car in an accident involving the front end could be problems unless you can contact the repair people.

I think you should not get the car and tell them that they need to get that fixed before any one should or could buy it!!!!
