and why would any one set of cultural myths be more valid or more true than another? for example ... why do Christians believe that Jesus is more true a character than say ... Krishna? or Sidhartha?

Your question is asking about absolute truth but you are presupposing that all truth is relative. If there is a reality that exists regardless of human experience (ie. beyond culture but expressed through culture), then we need to take notice because it may be the difference between eternally living life in fullness, or death and suffering.

One figure would be more valid to you because you were raised with that idea. As far as why an ancient culture's God would be more valid than yours, the Old Testament talks about God having been seen in person by tens if not hundreds of thousands of people.
For this to be passed down for so long as historic document, and nobody ever came forward and said they didn't see anything there, one would think something really must have happened out there in the desert.

hows this for a biblical character

allah=f
police=f
don=f
hellls angels=f
loser=f

based on god=g+o+d=7+15+4=26=2+6=8=h

thus:

h=god=good angel=angel of death

so when allah is god to arabia and they take flights down for allah remember who that equals to them.

god as h wanted nothing to do with using airplanes as weapons.

why do your sacred words work out that way?

cause all things to praise, laud, or honour HIM was commanded by the bible the worlds most powerfull book.

so to solve mystery just look closely at french stop sign. and see name pronounced I arre t but image of god could be said to be EMPEROR.

read between the lines and it says [il IVI PERIOD=

so if you ask why its said god created the place we see, use the equation god=7154=17=8. and see three celestial bodies the sun, moon and earth as 8.

and if all things to honour him then death somehow honours HIM. so note name pronounced Ta-ed but spelled different that TODD cause of copyright infringments. so god is pronounced Todd but due to tecnical discrepancies no longer spells it TODD.

They would have the same amount of truth, none. And it seems Christians are a little arrogant.

becuase they were brought up that way..plain and simple.. lets say you took a baby... and took him/her to japan...wait 18 years..they are most likely not going to even know who Jesus is.....instead keep the baby in the US and give him/her to a christianity family...that baby will most surely become a christian...simple fact, It depends on where you live
