pipkins and itsy and bitsy.... the ghosts of motley hall was great... and i remember watching wurzel gummedge on a sunday afternoon eating lemon curd sandwiches! also, why dont you? was good fun too....

Oh yes I remember Hartley Hare and Chrystal Tipps and Alistair. I loved watching Bod and trying to guess what flavour milkshake the band were drinking. But i also remember watching Mumphy the elephant and his flying car i loved Mumphy and the song was dead catchy

Andy Pandy, Wooden Tops, Tales of the riverbank, Sooty, Magic Roundabout, Pogles Wood,Tinger and Tucker. Muffin the Mule,and yes I do remember Pipkins, and Hartley, do you remember Hectors house, wasn't he a silly old Hector.

I live in Akron, Ohio. We watched programs from Cleveland television stations.

So as far as local characters, I remember Captain Penney, Barnaby, Woodrow the Woodsman and Franz the Toymaker.

For national television shows: I remember Captain Kangaroo and Miss Barbara from Romper Room. I also remember Sherry Lewis and Lambchop! I wanted to be a puppeteer after watchin Sherry Lewis.

I can remember sitting on my mother's knee watching Andy Pandy, and that wasn't yesterday! There was also Mary, Mungo and Midge; Bill and Ben; and my all time favourite, Tales From the Riverbank, narrated by Johnny Morris. Those really were the good old days. Anything that reminds us of lost innocence can't be bad....
