In a Purpose Driven Life, it is stated that, "Because God made you for a reason, he also decided when you would be born and how long you would live. He planned the days of your life in advance, choosing the exact time of your birth and death. The Bible says, "You saw me before I was born and scheduled each day of my life before I began to breathe. Every day was recorded in your book!"

If that is true, then isn't it true that God has pre-planned every abortion that has taken place on our planet?

So, you are fighting against God's plan then...

Serious answers please, nothing insulting. If i am misunderstanding something, tell me.

God does not plan our murder. God is life. God said he numbered mans days to 120 years. Most of us don't make it that long. God said he wanted us to have LIFE and have it more abundantly.

That is a very good question, stumped me. I read part of that book, but was a little young to understand it all.

The only thing I could say is that God plans when you were born, who you meet, who you live with, where you live, and those sort of things. But I think how you react to those people, places, and situations is all determind by you.

So if God blesses you with a child, and you do not want it, then it is simply just another challenge you must overcome in your life, another test. I don't think god plans those deaths, it's a considerable possibality.

I'm not sure, maybe you should go to a local church and ask the pastor.

God doesn't choose for us, we make our own decisions. His knowledge of what we'll do doesn't make our choices for us. It's called free will. Just because He knew the holocaust would happen, doesn't mean He caused it to happen, He just let us stupid humans have free will, and most often that's not a good idea. Just because He gives us the choice, doesn't mean we're making the correct choices.

And seriously, do you now know how many women out there can't have children, and are waiting years to adopt? Don't you realize how happy they'd be to raise that child that is just too inconvenient for the birthmother to deal with? Do you have any idea how many women have more than 2 abortions, they're using it as birth control, because they just can't be bothered taking that pill or putting on that patch. I'm sorry they can't handle things like taking a pill or putting on a patch, but why should an innocent life be snuffed out because of a stupid, ignorant woman who has no self-control? Actually, very few abortions are because of rape or incest, the largest percentage is the ignorant, irresponsible ones.

I would say it depends on who you ask and what they personally believe. Some Christians who are pro-life believe in predestination and others do not. The "purpose driven life" book that you speak of does espouse predestination. I do not believe in predestination. I do acknowledge that God is all-knowing but God does not plan any abortion. That is a free will choice by the individual who chooses abortion. God knows, but will never take away our free will. God's plan is that every single one of His children have life. He creates each individual person with Love and Dignity and a Soul and as a result of free-will choices by some, these lives never achieve fulfillment in God's plan. God allows it, but he does not ordain it, nor does He pre-plan it that way.

God had a plan for all those babies, their mothers interfered with Gods plan, by killing their own child. Whats next, killing their 14 year old, because he's a smart mouth? (The old "I brought him into this world, I can take him out." thing...) How would you feel if it were your life? How do you know if one of those babies might have been the one with a cure for aids? Or the next Mozart, or a leader to end poverty and hunger... Their mothers decided that the world was better off without them, and didn't give us a chance to find out. What if you needed what they had?
I'm glad you are doing your spiritual research, lots don't. You will start to see the love of God before long.

Yes God has planned when you will be born and when you die, but God certainly does want us to fight against Atrocities such as Abortion.

God would be happy if Abortion was outlawed big time.

Yes I know that will not stop Abortion from happening but it certainly will cut down on the Abortions that do happen considering before Roe V. Wade we had only Thousands of Abortions per year but after Roe V. Wade it turned into Thousands per day.

That's a tuff one.

I wonder how many great scientists, writers, musicians, artists, philosophers, etc, etc, etc, are rotting in unmourned graves? Could we have aborted the cure for this pesky bird flu plague? Or maybe the answer to world hunger?

Then, again, maybe we've aborted the one guy who could finally prove whether or not there is truly a God...and maybe God prefers it that way.

Could those abortions have been planned to single out those who simply have no respect for life? The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away.

One thing I am sure of...God is not mocked.

Free-Will is hard to understand, after all GOD know's it all.
So how does HIS PLAN fit in with us? GOD is Perfect, so any Plan HE come's up with is Perfect. Now, GOD Create's us Perfect, then HE has to send us down onto the EARTH which has been Corrupted by the CURSE, SIN and the Devil (satan) who kill's, steal's and destroys. And to top that off with, after Adam changed God's(committed HIGH TREASON), and changed God's to satan, we are all Born on this EARTH LOST. When we start growing-up, the best thing for US to do is try to get in touch with GOD and follow HIS Perfect Plan for our Live's. Dosen't that make sense? Take a load-off, the ONLY ONE WHO did this Perfectly was JESUS CHRIST. Form Birth to Death, JESUS followed it Perfectly. We TRY to(or should). We can only do our best. But you don't have to, cause you got a Free-Will. Really hope this helps.

GOD give's us 120 to live on this EARTH, and a little longer if you stay Strong. All Baby's and Children (who die under the Age of Accountability) go to HEAVEN. GOD Recreate's (Born-Again, SAVED) their Spiritman and take's them on Home. And it is not GOD's WILL that any man (male, female) should die, but LIVE.

God is allowing a certain amount of evil to occur. The souls of those being cut off from life prematurely are a testimony as to the wickedness of this as well as those ancient civilizations which sacrificed their children to Molech. God is waiting patiently for man to so completely corrupt himself that he can't hold himself back any longer. When that happens, the arrows will fly and he will unleash his wrath on man and planet. God's plan may include the deaths of innocents, God has also instructed his followers to stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. Also to consider the interests of others ahead of themselves.

No. God does not plan abortions. He is aware of them, but He would really rather we went with His plan rather than against it.

He also planned for us to live forever in Eden. It seems that we have been going against God's plan since the beginning.

He gave us free will. That includes the ability to reject His plan.

May God have mercy on our souls.

I have not read the book, so I do not feel qualified to give a serious answer without the context that the statement was given in.

As it sounds, there is a conflict with the free will aspect of Christianity.

Your question has prompted me to acquire the book.
