They disobeyed God by eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil (Right and Wrong). So, yes… Right?
Just one problem. How could Adam and Eve have been expected to comprehend the implications of their actions if, prior to their indiscretion, they had no concept of wrong, evil, punishment, suffering, pain, and death? Even if God had been successful in adequately explaining all of these concepts and the distinction between right and wrong to them beforehand, this means that he would have had to have given them knowledge of good and evil anyway, which turns this entire story into one big ridiculous farce.
Doesnt it?

the tree of knowledge is symbolic for sex, satan screwed Eve and then Eve screwed Adam.they might of even had a three way cluster f#%k.
satan + Eve = Cain Eve + Adam = Able

No, there was no sin. Innocence is not the natural state of things after all, it must naturally yield to experience. True innocence is not what most people think it is, a truly "innocent" person would be essentially a vegetable that could move on its own but could not learn from even the most basic of mistakes (like to avoid fire after stepping on it.) The apple Adam and Eve ate was the Fruit of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Called "the fruit of ideas" by Kurt Vonnegan, the apple gave rise to knowledge and everything that exists today in modern society, good AND bad, because without evil there would be no need for good. Good and evil define each other, it would not be an good idea to abolish it forever because all human thought would cease. God was just being a dick when he punished Adam and Eve for eating the apple because they disobeyed his will. God doesn't like people to disobey his will even if they are being wise in doing so, he's a jerk like that.

The Gnostics had an interesting take on it. The gaining of knowlege is never bad, and in their minds the serpent was a good guy, like Prometheus.
If there was no knowlege of good and evil there could not be any sin.
Remember, The Garden of Eden is allegory. In all likelihood there wasn't just two people who started the world. And we must remember, Adam as a bigomist who got his first wife kicked out of Eden because Lilith didn't want to be on the bottom all the time during sex. So clearly, some issues in the Hebrew Bible.
And Eve at least made her own decision, she just handed Adam the apple and he chomped.

Adam and Eve were given superior knowledge. They were forbidden only one thing and were told the consequence if they disobeyed. Eve not only disobeyed, but she wandered from the side of her husband and she wanted to be "like God" as Satan tempted. Adam disobeyed because he knew what Eve's fate would be and loved her so much that he would suffer the same punishment. They did not die on the spot but started dieing physically and they broke the spiritual connection they had had with God. God knew this would happen and he already had a plan from the beginning to restore man with God. It happened at the cross.

I see your point. And a very good one too.
But you see, God had a knowledge of everything to come. He knew that Adam and Eve would sin. He told them not to do something, and they did it. And that's a sin. No matter what you say to proove it to be a farce. They knew that they had everything they needed. But they fell into temptation. They were specifically told that that tree was off limits.
Gen 2:17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."
So there you go

There are those that believe that they were given 2 together unique commandments, stay in the backyard sinless and clueless and immortal without posterity vs go away the backyard, develop into mortal and performance children, take a danger on sin and remember on Atonement. we should be grateful that Eve took the lead and allowed us to come back into being. the different selection may have annoyed God's plan although the alternative had to be freely made.

They say that is the problem with religion. You just can't think too deeply and if you want to be religious then you have to accept every thing as is. You can't question it. You just can't think about it. Ironically, I think the people who don't think are more apt to sin anyway or maybe more apt to get caught. Maybe I could be wrong. I don't know but I wish I had all of the answers.

Jehovah God did not make robots, he wanted them to listen to him, just like we are to listen to Jehovah God and do the right things. if you where put in this beautiful garden with everything and anything you can eat, and Jehovah God told you not to eat from this one tree, one tree, why should you eat from it. the devil told Eve that Jehovah lied to Adam, that they would not die. yes they did not die right away, but in Jehovah God's eyes they where dead to him. they had to pay for disobeying him. so after they children where born, just like us, we are born into sin also because Adam and Eve are our parents. Jehovah God has feelings and he was hurt in his heart that they disobeyed him. just like if you told your child, not to touch the stove and he disobeyed you, wouldn't you be hurt that your child did not listen to you and you would have to punish that child???
