If a girl and a boy love each other, it doees not matter how old they are and what other people think about the relationship.. There are tons of couples in this world that a woman is older then the guy and they are happy. If two people love each other, nothing else matters.

If you're having ANY sex, then what you're doing is illegal. You probably don't want to hear this but he's too young to be making rational judgments about serious relationships with the opposite sex. People are accepted in society with big age gaps between them, no matter who's older, but the youngest has to be 18. In fact, age gaps matter more when you're young, so legal or not, I would not like to see an 18 year old getting married to a 25 year old.

You've been going with this guy for 1.5 years. If you're like a heck of a lot of people you're having sex. That can land you in the slammer for a long time.
Another point to consider is the future. Is this guy preparing for a comfortable life, is he going to get the education he'll need, or is he just thinking of all the sex he's going to get ?
At seventeen, he sure is not prepared to support a wife, forget about how many kids you might have.
Tell him to get his degree from college. Get a good job with a great future, then think of marriage.

you see if it was the other way round and your fella was asking this question it would be a tap on the back...good for you...its the way society is these days.
but its not your fella asking its you.
some 17 year olds these days are very mature for their age so if you where to walk about together the age gap prob would not be noticed. although it is illegal and I'm very sure you know that id just like to say follow your hearts only you can decide what is right for you both. i know of a few situations like yours that started rocky when the family found out but they are still together 20 years on and nowadays nobody bats an eyelid.

Congratulations you have a great realtionship... anyone else can go jump...
No sane country considers over 16 year olds children...
In fact in america they send over 16s to war so go figure...
What looney thought a 17 year old is a child... go learn biology...
you are fine...
May have problems in the US who are clueless... see their pregnancy rate.
Most sane countries its perfectly legal from 16, and finding a under 18 year old vigin is about as likely as the holy grail unless a relgious nut.
24 and 17 is not too much of a difference... everyone is still out partying and most here are in clubs from 17
so whats the problem
Better still make out infront of them and be extra hot and steamy...
Anyone decent should be fine with you... its wonderful you too love each other so much

ammm, sounds kinda weird to me. see if u were 50 and he was 43 it wouldn't matter, but 24 and 17..... first i believe it's illegal. second, soon he'll want to experience stuff people his own age do and u've already been through that, and i think that's gonna hurt ur relationship or his development.
if u really love him that much, break things off for now and find someone more mature. later on, when he grows up, u will be together again if it was meant to be.

ok, your 24 hes 17, with all the hate, un-justice and wars in the world if two people love each other then surely it means something. I know he is a tad underage but if your both good for each other then age is nothing but numbers-my guy is 3 years older than me, im 20-but i never think about his age, he is who he is and i love him, obviously im not under age, but love is to important to throw away..much love x

age never matters, but wait till he is 18 to get married becuase it may be illegal. and if u love u shudnt even be askin that question girl!! what matters is how u feel for each other, and whether ur relationship will be for the long-haul. if so, then i say go girl! (in a year or two!)

You may not be accepted now, but when he's in his 20's no one will even notice. 7 years is no biggie. Me and my guy are 6 years apart, my mom and stepdad are 9 yrs, my dad and stepmom are 11 yrs. Trust me, hardly anyone will notice unless you're 15 or more.
