It would seem that God the Father and Jesus Christ are two separate Beings--even the prophet Stephen saw Christ and His Father standing next to each other (with Christ on the right) when he was stoned to death as a martyr (Acts 7:55-56).

Yes. The trinity doctrine didn't come into existence until the 3rd or 4th century after Jesus died. This is supported by New Catholic Encyclopedia (1967) which states that “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”

The Encyclopedia Americana (1956) states “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”

Also of note is that Jesus told his followers that no one knew God's appointed time for the end of the system of things (a/k/a Armageddon). (Mark 13:32). If Jesus were God, he'd know that day too, but the scripture clearly says that even "the Son" doesn't know.

Jesus took on a human form when Jesus was on this earth the first time, Jesus will not come as a human being again, we all have souls, and can receive the Holy Spirit through believing and accepting the Lord as our saviour.
Jesus is the son of God and sits on the right hand side of the throne of God, for all eternity.

The Trinity is like an egg, There is the white, the yoke and the shell. Three parts but 1 egg. That is like the trinity, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. How could Jesus be God's son if they all are one? They are close and they really work together! But I know some preachers believe one way & the others believes the other way. I know that when we get to Heaven, it will fianlly make all sence to everybody!

Jesus Christ sat on the right hand of God, they are seperate

Colossians 3:1 (Whole Chapter)
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

Hebrews 10:12 (Whole Chapter)
But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Hebrews 12:2 (Whole Chapter)
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

That is why the trinity is so important.

That is why in the beginning the Word was God and the Word became flesh. Because Jesus is at the right hand of the Father as God three in one he can't be anything else because he is worshipped at the right hand as God - not a god or anyone else because there is only one God.

Jesus is Gods son. God sent his son so that we can have a chance to have our sins forgiven and so we can live in heaven one day. Jesus is the only way to the Father. However, they are connected - The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit which is our counselor we (believers) could not live without the Holy Spirit. all three are connected.

I believe it was the famous scientist Newton that believed that they were separate. He was a brilliant man. But the church at the time was so strong that he could never express his belief in public. He claimed that nowhere in the Bible could he find that God and Christ were the same entity. He knew if he expressed it publicly though his career would be over and he could face other types of harsh punishment. So maybe his belief has just been supressed by authority for years.

Acording to my religion, God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are three seperate beings. You sound like someone the missionaries would love to meet. Many of my friends are converts from other churches, and they are very happy. In fact, our first Latter Day prophet saw and spoke the God (we call him Heavenly Father) and Jesus. if you want to find some missionaries, e mail me and tell me the general area where you live, i can find some missionaries and send them to you. e mail me at i_love_fat_munkeyz@yahoo.com and let me know!!

Jesus is God, yeah, there is God the father, God the son, and God the Holy Spirit, also known as the Trinity:three PERSONS in ONE GOD. It's also a mystery, one that can't really and fully be understood by human thinking.
