Histrionic Personality Disorder is an Axis II Personality Disorder and will not go away. A pervasive identifier of Axis II is a person who blames everyone else for their own interpersonal problems. In short, they are not responsible for their stuff. Can they change? not if they continue to blame others. Histronics tend to be Drama Queens, everything is a big flippin deal...they love the attention it generates. There are zero medications for Axis II because it is a PERSONALITY issue not a mental illness.

Try Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, this approach is proving successful with personality disorders. Also some medications can help. Low dose rispiridone could be tried.

i think you have to feed that person with what he wants to get him to change. feed him a little then show him there's more if you think like i do.

i've relapsed into giving people everything with no thought or persuasion because i shy away from persuading people - egotism, because the span of my life revealed that unless you're blazing 100% no-one will listen to you. and those people (most people) are so wound up in their own sense of self importance and to be busy seeking to be accepted that they will **** all nice people over. and to be honest hose people (most people) aren't worth bothering with. people who are so insecure that they need to be accepted in this way are usually dumb, lowermiddle class, loosers wwho don't read books, surf the internet, and just end up in the mental health service, or alcholol re hab, or worse still in a characterless abode of moderate market value, with ford cars and short lives. us edgar's however, live till we're 100.

so no HPD would fester at my will, will it go away? if i choose so, yes
