Which CHRISTIAN denomination is correct?

In the early 1500s, a German monk named Martin Luther was so conscious of his sins, he spent up to six hours in the confessional. Through study of the Scriptures he found that salvation didn't come through anything he did, but simply through trusting in the finished work of the Cross of Jesus Christ. He listed the contradictions between what the Scriptures said, and what his church taught, and nailed his 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg, Germany. Martin Luther became the first to "protest" against the Roman church, and thus he became the father of the Protestant church. Since that split, there have been many disagreements about how much water one should baptize with, how to sing what and why, who should govern who, etc., causing thousands of splinter groups. Many of these groups are convinced that they are the only ones who are right. These have become known as Protestant "denominations." Despite the confusion, these churches subscribe to certain foundational beliefs such as the deity, the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible says, "...the foundation of God stands sure, having this seal - the Lord knows those that are His" (see 2 Timothy 2:19).

Four people are standing at the corner of an intersection, one person, one corner, same intersection. A two car collision takes place. The police, fire, and paramedics show up and clean up the mess. A police officer approaches each person and asks them to fill out a report. All of them do, to the best of their abilities. The officer then takes the reports and reads each one, to get an idea of what they had seen. Each report is different. Who is wrong? The answer is that even though they agreed on seeing the accident, they had a different interpretation. They where all correct. I am not saying that Jesus is equal to an accident, but trying to explain points of view. Christians do a major disservice when fighting with other Christians who do not see it their way. It is supposed to be all about Jesus. Compassion can be a difficult thing.

All denominations of Christianity teach the same basic principles. The different denominations of Christianity just have different ways of getting to that. The only one that is correct is the one that is right for you, and that you believe in.

I think that it's sad that it's broken up into denominations.
I love God and Jesus his son, you can call me a christian, but I will not be labeled as any denomination until one of them teaches the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.
We may never know for sure what the original Church was really like until we can get our heads out of our traditions and also out of the crazy stuff stirred up by fiction maniacs who take Dan Brown's words as fact.
Jesus is not about man's beliefs or traditions or stories, he's about salvation and love.
Whatever the truth is, I don't want to stand before God and be told i wasted my whole life arguing who was right, instead of focusing on what really matters.
i think it's funny how that one person had to add in all their education.
i don't mock education, but to tell the truth, i don't care where people go to school or if they even do, that's not what faith is even about.
man's knowledge is ever changing, so in about 50 years, nearly everything you know will have been either proved wrong or will be far outdated.

Asking which denomination is correct is like asking which party is correct Republican, Democratic or Independent.

To be a Christian it means one who follows and believes in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

To be an American means to be a citizen of the United States of America.

You can be a Christian, and be a Baptist, Methodist, Evangelical or Lutheran, etc.

You can be an American and be a Republican, Democrat or Independent.

There is no particular correct denomination. In fact none are perfect, all people and religions are flawed.

The only correct thing is to personally know Jesus.

Well, I believe that as long as you hold up JESUS and excepts him as your Savior, and read and live to what the "Holy Bible" says, and go to a good church I would say, go for it! Now some denominations claim to be christian and they are not! Like Mormon, I'm not even starting there! And I don't really believe in Catholic- they believe Mother Mary is holier then Jesus! I know every church has it's own problems, etc. But as long as you are right with the Lord and is living for him I believe you are ok.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Period.
Reasons...
1.) Ancient scripture states that a falling away would come and that a restitution of ALL THINGS would take place in the last days.
2.) It is the only religion to claim that all truth has been restored to the Earth by revelation from God, and has been able to intellectually substantiate it.
3.) Biblically speaking, It is a religion to be considered purely on faith ...at first.
4.) Archailogical proofs exist that are apparent to those who have excercised faith.
5.) We are the only Christ based religion that has temples.

Oh yeah, one more reason of many more that are possible....The book of Mormon is the only record of the "other sheep" spoken of in John 10:16. Try to find another.
ok, one more, we have a prophet and apostles.
yet another...Millions have put it to the test and, after having asked God himself felt his very presence testify that the Church is indeed the fulfillment of the restitution of all things spoken of in Acts 3:21.

There are many denominations out there and we are not to say which one is correct, and which one came out because there was a real calling from God to minister. There are different denominations because there are different needs, and different interest. There is that right shirt for you that fits you just the way you like it, well this is the same way, it fits your soul just the way you need it.

I heard an extremely many times used Christian comic say that the denomination or maybe the church you opt for says extra about you than it does about your courting with God. For the most section, Christian church homes do not variety that a lot in perception...extra in practice and...I hate to apply this word, yet "ritual." some church homes use hundred three hundred and sixty 5 days previous hymns and some use the hot song from the newest Christian artists. some church congregations are extra vocal and lively for the time of facilities and some favor to hearken to quietly. I easily have friends from purely about each and every denomination and that i do not do not ignore that the necessary beliefs are very distinct, and that i surely do not imagine that any of them are "incorrect." I easily ought to do what i imagine is sweet by potential of prayer and desire and pray that my friends are doing the same. The worst mistake that any Christian can make is taking somebody else's word for something. If something would not sound acceptable or would not sit properly on one's heart, they might want to do their very personal study, contained in the Bible, to locate context and pray for his or her very personal information. and that i firmly trust that any minister, preacher, or instructor of any denomination ought to agree.
