awesome question. evidence in itself prove that there actually is a God. If you read the bible, its shows-even by science- that God exists.
But Consider:
- even when scientist and smartest scholars believed that the earth was flat since the 1600s, the bible written thousands of years ago reveals-“There is One who is dwelling above the CIRCLE of the earth..."- Isaiah 40:22
-when scientist said that the Earth was held up by elephants, giraffes, hippos, birds, ect, the bible made it clear -"He is stretching out the north over the empty place, Hanging the earth upon nothing;"
-also, many scholars and so called "wise men" have tried over and over to figure out why Babylon is unable to bear crops, or be built on. But what does the bible say? After God destroyed it because of it's abundance of immorality, he said (speaking of the land of Babylon- "She will never be inhabited, nor will she reside for generation after generation. And there the Arab will not pitch his tent, and no shepherds will let [their flocks] lie down there. And I will cut off from Babylon name and remnant and progeny and posterity,” is the utterance of Jehovah.
And I will make her a possession of porcupines and reedy pools of water, and I will sweep her with the broom of annihilation,” is the utterance of Jehovah of armies".
But hey- what can you do? After all, it says "The senseless one has said in his heart, 'There is no God'"- Psalms 14:1

The same reason I no longer believe in Santa or the Tooth Fairy. There comes a time to grow up and face reality as it is.

Go buy the book "The End of Faith" by Sam Harris; try to read it all the way to the end (you might need a dictionary if your spelling in this sentence is any indication). This should give you all the answers you need.

I believe a God exists, I just choose not to follow him. I acknowledge and respect what he says and does, I just want to be my own leader and live my life the way I want. Not how God wants me to and not how satan wants me to.

I'm not religious or anything. Actually, I'm more of an agnostic, but at least I know that God has a capital G. It's called respect.

God is irrelevant.
The need for morality is inherent to human existence and does not depend on the whims of a deity.

I DO BELIEVE IN GOD BUT I THOUGHT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE THAT WE CAN BE A SON OF GOD.
WHY WE ARE HERE
1jo 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
1jo 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Ga 4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
Ga 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Ga 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Ro 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Ro 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Ro 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Ro 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Ro 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
Ro 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
Re 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Re 2:27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
Re 2:28 And I will give him the morning star.
Joh 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him

I haven’t been shown any actual prove of his/hers/its existence. I’m a hands-on learner, so I need to see to believe. The reasons I’ve been give are just not satisfactory. I don’t work on faith.
