I need to search for something to use with home movies.
What do you recommend? Is it Ulead Video Studio, DVDComposer, InterVideo WinDVD Creator, EditStudio 5, Roxio, Nero or something like that?

I like Pinnacle Studio. I'm on the latest version number 10. It has been a good program since I started with it back on version 7. The version 10 has some great features including DVD menus, a bunch of transitions that you can alter the time the transitions take and reverse the effects, etc.

I have used many video processing options as well. I edited video from a camera that recorded in 16:9 ratio and I was able to do my own 'pan and scan' on it to edit it into some other camera work done in 4:3.

I like the slow motion and fast motion effects too.

There is a Music Creator that is really well done and makes adding a sound track easily doable.

I haven't had experience with the other editors but I have considered going to Adobe Premiere Elements, but I heard the interface wasn't as intuitive, so I stayed with Pinnacle Studio!

I don't have an HD camcorder, but Studio will edit HD video.

If you don't need HD editing, you can get a version of studio for $50.00 directly with Pinnacle Systems. (See Link Below.)
