I use Sunsilk Straighten Up shampoo and conditioner, and it works. You can buy it at Wal-Mart or just about any drugstore. I love it - it smells wonderful, leaves your hair smooth and shiny, and wave/curl-free....what more can you ask?

I have heard that Mane 'n' Tail is. I would like to get some for myself.
As for straightening shampoo..I am not sure but I have this spray from John Frieda called Straight Answer. You spray it in your hair after you shower and then when you style it it is really straight and not frizzy. I really like it a lot.

I'm a black girl with "good hair" (I hate that term) and Mane N Tail works okay for me. I usually wear my hair naturally curly, but a good straightening shampoo is Garnier smooth and sleek. It calms down the frizz pretty well.
