My son is 11 yrs old and has begun masturbating, as he wakes me and my wife up at night with moans and screams, what can I say/do to stop him from at least making such loud noises at night?

I think everyone is misinterpreting the word, "screaming". NO he has NOT been molested, its just a loud moaning, come on guys I think you all have experience with loud noise during intimate moments.

to the guy that reported this, I don't think it should have been. If he has an 11 year old son that has "found his wii wii"(lol) its a bit early, I think, butno one likes to be woke up in the middle of the night by any noise. The people who told him to have a talk about it and tell the boy it's ok, but to keep it down a little are right. Its natural.

If you aren't comfortable talking about it directly, which I probably wouldn't be, I agree with ohsonice about just asking what the noises are. If he's embarrassed about it, which he should be, really, he'll stop with the noises.

But, I think the best thing to do is say "hey, what you're doing is OK, and everyone does it, but it's a private thing and you should keep it to yourself."

What's a bit weird to me is that he's moaning and screaming. I don't remember masturbating ever causing me to do that. In fact, I always tried to be as discreet as possible. I wouldn't know wether to think something is wrong or if he's just a lucky kid.

Just tell him you heard some loud noises last night, and wanted to know if everything is alright. Either he will choose to talk to you about it or not. In any case, he will most likely be quieter.

If this began even as he switched to exploit, that's truly very achievable that he has a milk protein hypersensitive reaction. Take him off milk fullyyt. No cow's milk, no cheese, no yogurt. attempt some soy milk and see how a lot extra acceptable he feels in some weeks even as the milk protein is out of his equipment. Wishing you nicely.

Jeez. Tough spot. I would just tell him to stop making noise at night with whatever he's doing. But don't tell him anything about the masturbation until you know exactly what to say.

You should hint to him that you hear sounds at night. But not imply that you know he is masturbating. I think it would be best if you knocked on his door after or almost during it happening and say "is everything all right? I thought i heard something".

If you're embarrassed about it, he'll be embarrassed about it,so practice talking about it in a 'matter of fact' way. If you can do that, saying, "I'm not really concerned about what you do, but keep it down", will go over the right way.

I think you should sit him down and have the talk and let him know that you can hear him but do it in a way that wont make him embarrassed
