I kow Iran is the contracted form of "land of aryans". So I like to know other countries having same element in their names.

Iranians were the only pple who named their lands "aryan" later Persia's colonies like india adopted the name! and hilter used linguistic similiarities between persians and germans to claim germans to be aryans. Iranian kings all called themselves "Aryamehr"(sun of aryans) 2500 years ago. and arya is a very frequent world in persian names since that time on. i really beome suprised when indians claim it, coz they r drvidian ethnic, and westerns claiming it coz they r mixed and not aryans for sure. also it's a big suprise for me that many pple ignore even persian ancient places where is full of the word "aryans" on the walls! and still exist, and claim maybe because of this a theory they r aryans. for sure aryans r whom have the word in real world in their lands, not whome making funny thoeris of aryans ethnic!

India was formerly called Aryavarta ie the land of the Aryans.

Persians use the term in the ethnic sense. Iran means "Land of the Aryans"

Aryans were the people that the Nazis believed were the perfect people. There goal was to purify the world by eliminating everybody that wasn't Aryan. I don't know if that helps.

When you say aryan I think mostly of the Germans. there is a nazi group in America and it is called the ARYAN brotherhood

NO...an "aryan" is a blonde hair blue eyed person. Generally the term is used when referring to people who are racist against all other races except for pure white.

Iran .There are a lot of names that has sth to do with tis word.Like Arya ,Aryanaz,Aryan,Aryamehr,...They all are Iranian names.

I doubt it. The Nazis used that word for themselves. It's used to describe the Germans as being the "perfect race." I seriously doubt that any country nowadays will use that word. If they do, I sure hope Bush'll invade them. Hey, at least it'll be an invasion for something this time!
