Do black people get tans??

yes black people tan. my hubby is black (doesn't lay out but does get tan from being outside with the kids all day and from being in the army) and you can see his tan lines. i can tell wear his BDU sleeve tan line is and wear his T-shirt sleeve tan line is, i can also see wear his sock tan line is from wen he wears shorts.

anyone can tan. whether or not they want to is up to each person individually. And the effect of tanning is to get darker so if you are a lighter african american it may be more obvious but tanning in general makes people darker regardless of their race.

i am a black person and yes black people do get darker when they go in the sun just like anyone else who has melanin producing cells.
you can tell actually and you dont have to look really hard. ask any black person you know and they'll tell you...

Yes, we do tan. Whether you can tell or not depends on how dark the person already is.

I asked someone this, and they said that they do BUT you can't tell....obivously because of their skin color.
